Everythings going wrong!
Okay, bitch about my life. I'm not saying it sucks like major or nothing...it just sucks now.
Okay first off...depressing job: Cinema worker, 3 o clock closes, four closes in a row, people having a bitch at me on all four days and me getting a talking to from the area manager because I was helping a staff member train...something wrong with that? I think so!
Secondly: Yesterday fainted and had a semi fit. Today nearly fainted. Went to the doctor, found out I had anxiety disorder...yeah, sucks. He said I would get dizzy, feel faint and maybe actually faint now and again...sucks? Yes I think so =D
Thirdly: Having an over active imagination. Wanting to be in a world that doesn't exist, getting depressed because the life I have isn't the life I want to have. Completely burst into tears in work because of it. Being told by a doctor that I may need psychological help, sucks....well yes I think so.
Seriously the only way I can get rid of all those ideas and dreams and stuff is by drawing or talking to my boyfriend (which I am soooo happy to have because he has the same thing (soppy as that is)). My dream job is to work on films, because I always found that if I wrote my ideas in script for, story form, drew them or acted them out that my mind would kinda settle and I'll be happy y'know. But because of my job I haven't had time to lately and its been really annoying me. I joined the job a year back now and I loved it. It was laid back, fun and I made a hell lot of good friends there.
About a year an a half ago, my best friend and my boyfriend both got fired from there. My boyfriend was a manager and he always had me and my friends on to do closes and it would be awesome. But after that, the job got strict and the boss kinda laid down loads of rules, one being not to get close to anyone you work with...pathetic?
So now...its kinda like zombie work and its depressing me, I'm looking for a job but no where is taking on, and the last thing I want to do is land a job like this again...y'know. I know work isn't a walk in the park or anything, but I was only looking for a nice little job before I went back to college y'know. Bloody hell its a CINEMA! People like to see the staff happy when they go into a film...what was the problem of having a laugh when you worked. We did our jobs better then than we do now!
Blah!!! I don't really know what to do y'know ;-; I'm living in some sort of dream land thats both one of the best and one of the worst things in my life.
*Sigh*

I had the same thing working over at sonic drive in( worked there for like a year), i hated the job, was depressed everytime i went there, always busting my ass for 6 bucks an hour, its seriously non stop action for 7 hours straight. so what ever you do never ever go work for sonic.. never!!
Try working with animals or something.

Sounds rough.
Your current job is only temporary, I assume--a part-time job meant to fund your schooling n' whatnot. Lots of kids (and adults, as a matter of fact) work jobs they despise. Most work isn't designed to be fun and enjoyable. At the end of the day, it's all about the money. This might sound a bit insensitive, but you may have to get chummy with the idea that you're not gonna love your job...

...especially if you're not willing to look for alternative work. Worst case scenario: you land another job JUST like the one you currently have. Perhaps you'll get lucky and do better. Way I see it, you have nothing to lose.
Hope it gets better for you, madam. *thumbs up*

Well, your only 18 so I'm sure you will be able to find something else a little more fulfilling and enjoyable.
It sucks that aren't allowed to get close to people though. Managers are supposed to raise staff morale not stamp all over it. My last job encouraged friendships and there were often work nights out organised which was great
I was in a job I hated for a year and a half. (first job) Working with the public sucks...I hated retail. Especially in a clothes shop with loads of women coming in and terrorising you It really got me down at times and I found myself crying on more than one occassion
I got a new job in an office which I loved at first, infact I loved it up til recently (was there 6 years) but I recently quit because Id had enough of it, not the best of choices seeing as now Im unemployed
Its good that you've been to the doctor and you at least know WHY you're fainting and stuff. You're lucky you have your boyfriend to talk to and you can express your over active imagination by painting and stuff. If you don't have enough time for this now tho, would it be practical for you to reduce your hours or stop working altogether until you can get yourself back on your feet again?

I posted before and wasn't any help...so...
I agree with Frisky. You should try and get some rest. That's probly the cause of your fainting spells. I have a friend whose sister is a nurse and she went through the same thing, stress and work brought her down. She was better after a break.
Once you're better, take things slow and steady. Everything will fall back into place in no time! I promise...

I know exactly what you mean by this statement. Granted, the dream land is one of the best place a mind can wander to, simply because we can make anything happen. But when we do think about what we want out of life and start to imagine the great possibilities in our mind, reality comes crashing down, and we then realize that we are only left with wistful thoughts. How disappointing.
Anyway, don't give up looking for a new job. If this current one is depressing you, then it is not good at all. Of course, many of us do hate our jobs, yet we make the best of the situation because sometimes things are not so easily acquired. So for the meantime, you'll have to make do of your current state. Sulking about the matter would not help because what more can you do, right? Life moves on. It's okay to rant and talk to others about your problems, but I guess my point is...don't let it affect you in a way that would increase any more depression on your part. I'm sure you have other burdens in your shoulders right now that you haven't mentioned, so don't let these ones that you mentioned add any more weight by constantly thinking the negativities it presents in your life.
That's all I can really say. Be more optimistic and look at the brighter side of things. Corny and idealistic, I know, but sometimes we need a little more of that in our lives. I hope you find a new job soon.

I know what you mean hun. Im in a bookshop and thought it would be great as I love to write and wanted to be a novelist or a screenwriter. But I seen them as dreams, and now I want to do something about it.
If you arent happy with life at the mo, then do something about it. Come on, youre young, clever and have a passion for film, you can do whatever you chose to do as long as you put your mind to it.

I'm quite similar; I have the anxiety, fainting and I hate my job too. At least yours hasn't got too bad, just don't let it control you. The fact you have people who support you is good, just try to remember it won't always be anxiety, one day you'll think about something that normally worries you and say "Oh well."
