Useless
Do you think normal characters become useless as soon as you receive all the secret characters?

i had a ninja and a lancer that i had since the very first battle, and i named the girl aeris and the guy zidane, they were my faves. but when orlandu and other came along, i had no choice but to say goodbye. so i guess depending on just how well you train them, eventually they get passed.

No, Math skills own period, because they are instant casting and pratically everywhere on the screen+ it has 90% of all the cast within the game. Normal Characters are extremely powerful and better than most of the special characters aside from Orlandu, Reis, and Beowulf.
The rest of the special characters can get outshined very quickly.

All characters were useless after I Orlandu was in my party. I could send him out on the field by himself against chocobos and he'd when. Actually a situation like that kind of happened. I had a whole party out on the field and Orlandu was in. The red and black chocobos killed everybody but Orlandu. He had 4 turns in a row and killed them all XD.

Well I never used the normal characters once I had enough secret characters to fill up my party.

the only normal character i used was a chemist... he made it to around lvl 60 and i usually fight lvl 90's now but he still is one of my best. other then orlandu of course.
