He can be more then just a Time Mage... Hes like any other character except with the Limit Skill. Basically if you get him higher to the level that your characters are at, you'll pwn with him. With him at lvl 1 and your guys at lvl 50 then yes obviously he sucks. I wasnt suprised that Cloud was started at lvl 1 really. Makes the user work more to get that popular player. Wonder what lvl Balthier and Luso are going to be.

*yeah he does get stronger at high levels but his moves take some time to unleash,and enemies might evade them by moving away from the panel

*i prefer instant attack jobs,i guess its just a matter of choice

Well you could always just attack on them so when they move it will go with them

Also you can haste him to get him to be a beast and attack faster.

And the longer they wait the more powerful the attack's are... usually.

*yeah hed be strong and fast that way,but its too much work.compared to a ninja class who can attack in long range and has a killer double attack

*so you see some secret chars are lame compared to normal chars

Well you could always equipped such skills as ninja to him as a minor skill. Just gotta train him. Also the game is called Tactics, so when you use your attacks you gotta plan them. So you gotta look at the enemies CT and then check the time when your attack will be hit. So you gotta attack the enemy that his a higher CT.

*yeah! thats a good idea

any character with ninja skill will work for me

*good point too watching the CT and calculating which char will move next can be helpful but again it takes too much work and might get complicated

*when i played tactics i used to try and take advantage of the enemies CT but that didnt work,it made me confused getting my attention to keeping my party members alive,attacking and moving panels

*so i disregarded that problem and had one priority kill and kill fast while not taking damage! thats where my ninja strategy was created

I always thought the special chracters were quite good.

Beowulf-Orcale powers but much more accurate

Melidoul-Good damge like Agrias and can rend equipment. In the orginal FFT i dont think it could be used on armorless enimies, but in FFT war of the lions you can, extending her usefulness

Agrias-Gave her excalibur instead of cid. I just like her better i mean the haste gives her plenty of room for damage.

Rapha- I used her for awhile her powers arent actually that useless, its just you cant expect for it to work every time.

Baltheir-Awesome charcter has mustadios skills and more powerful theif skills.

Ramza-Not a special chracter but i still use him as an archer or Dragoon good mettle skills

Luso-Used him for awhile, very good damge even with low brave, poaching inate is quite useful.

Orlandu was just so friggin' strong, I always used him in my party right after I got him.

I try to use the characters I raised myself, but it's just so tempting to use the special characters with their own individual abilities and such.

Once I had all the best special characters, I never used the default ones again.

Orlandeau, well, that's just self explanatory.
Agrias + Lipstick = Amazing.
Balthier = Much more powerful Mustadio.
Luso = A 2nd Ramza. Sweet.

Hmm I almost did what you did Aerith, but mid way through i switched back to using my Dragoon/Dark Knight. He just seemed to be more powerful then Agrais
