ZOMG tell this to an old school Final Fantasy fan. I know plenty of people who love it! XD

But there are those who berate it for it's much more lame CGI sequences because they're so busy with the fututre. In all truth, I loved this game more than any other game I've ever played. It is enjoyable and I still play the PSX disc on my PS2. ^^

The characters and storyline were solid and realistic. I love the fact that in the end the hero dies and does not live, ending the tale of this story. This game is a must have for any Strategy RPG fan. I give this game a 10/10 stars. XD

I never knew this game was underrated. I enjoyed it, and anyone else that I know that has played it enjoyed it. It was actually the game that got me into tactical games in the first place.
But I have to admit that the only reason that I ever played it was because my friend gave me no choice. he sat me down at his house until I liked it, and then let me borrow it. hehe.

I rarely give a game 10/10 and this is only one of 5 games that has ever got it.

I don't think i've seen a better Job System elsewhere and only god knows how much i love those...

I don't think FF Tactics was underratted as it has become one of the rarest game along with FF VIII, Castlevania :SotN and ATELIER IRIS on PS1...

I heard it was worth 200$ on eBay

Agreed, they did a fantastic job on the Job System, there were a ton of classes and it allowed for so many different strategies. And you could even use the special classes you couldn't learn (like Dark Knight and Holy Knight) eventually since you could recruit special characters.

Hmm...I dunno about that, I think it's pretty underrated. Actually I've seen alot of sites trash the game for it's plot because it was "confusing." Um, the plot was fine. You actually had to pay attention to it so you don't get lost, but there's nothing wrong with that. I've also seen a lot of people call it pretty mediocre as far as Strategy RPGs go, but it seems pretty good to me. Especially if you compare it to Tactics Advance.

All the more reason to not die xD

This game can really kick your ass a lot though. The beginning is torture, I think I spent 5 hours just leveling before I could get past that first stage (the one in the town with the bandits and black mages).

I didn't like the mages/summoners in this game though, I hated having to wait for the spells/summons and by the time they came in effect having my target move. Every party member I had was a tank...well no, I did use that gunner you pick up and the robot (he did have some lovely long distance attacks).

Thats the beauty of a Summoner, you had to plan which targets it would hit. It would be far to easy if summoners were fast.
