The most stupid mistake i made!

While playing this war of the lions for psp, after 13hour the character already at level 20, my mistake was i didn't know that when the character died and became crystal i will lost it forever!
What a stupid mistake....now i lost my black mage..i overwritten the save file.

Anyways...LOL

I lost my first archer and black mage by having them get killed as well. Was irritating, but I kept a seperate save file in honour of them, and continued playing the game. I trained my secondary black mage to become my most powerful magic dude, and my squire I didnt know what to do with became my new archer and all was fine.

Yeah, that's a pretty basic part of FFT gameplay...If you're having those kinds of troubles with the game, you should probably go listen to Daravon's tutorials (though he might put you to sleep!

)...

I read about before I started the game so I knew what would happen. Regardless, it was a very annoying system, constantly having to worry about people getting KO'd and wondering if I'd be able to revive them before their counter went to zero. If I did happen to lose someone, I'd just restart.

Although, it really wasn't anything that ruined the experience. If anything it just forced me to learn to play better so I wasn't getting KO'd so much.

Yes it can be annoying, Yes it makes you a better player and you learn what your characters weaknesses are (you're troops are too offensive, where is the support spells? Or, helping you pay attention more about the situation.). BUT, what the people at stressed at gamefaqs was, "If you were aware and prepared, you wouldn't have had the person died in the first place."

Losing a generic isn't as annoying as getting a Chaos Blade or Excalibur stolen from a lvl99 Thief and having no way of getting it back.

That's why you have to screw over enemy Thieves first...! and/or Knights (don't want to get that rare equip broken either, right?)...!

But, yeah, it basically stresses the requirement to have someone in your party that can revive (early on anyways). I normally try to always have someone w/Item and/or White Magic...or just use Dragoon's Auto-Reraise...or, yeah, you could just go w/that atypical GameFAQs response & just be better at the game, I guess...

it wasnt that bad because i got used to it...and i played the ps version so i was well aware. i just try to revive asap. or else i just restart. 'corse if Ramza dies and no one in your party is capable of reviving you're pretty much screwd. lol.

I think it would be better if there was an easy reset button or a way to get straight to the loading screen. It's irritating as hell when you knwo you have to restart and end up exiting the whole game on the psp and then havign to load it all up again.

I actually kind of liked it because I remember a couple times where I DIDN'T have someone who could revive, or somehow my Chemist/Priest/Whoever could revive got dead and it was a battle against the clock...There were times when I narrowly managed to kill the enemies (my character's counter was at 0)...but, of course, there were times when I was JUST a bit too late and POOF! they got turned into lame crystals...and I then had to reset. That only really happened in my first playthrough though, I think...

Geeze, I need to start a Just Ramza & NPCs game sometime...
