Although, it really wasn't anything that ruined the experience. If anything it just forced me to learn to play better so I wasn't getting KO'd so much.

Yes it can be annoying, Yes it makes you a better player and you learn what your characters weaknesses are (you're troops are too offensive, where is the support spells? Or, helping you pay attention more about the situation.). BUT, what the people at stressed at gamefaqs was, "
If you were aware and prepared, you wouldn't have had the person died in the first place."
Losing a generic isn't as annoying as getting a Chaos Blade or Excalibur stolen from a lvl99 Thief and having no way of getting it back.
