Monk - Page 3

I made Ramza a monk from the beginning of the game and gave him the 'equip armor' ablilty from the knights. The moves are awesome and hamedo dominates people. I also had everyone else in my party learn monk techniques like chakra, revive, and hp restore. I also like the lancers a lot too.

that is one thing i really didn't get how can a monk revive people?

for me I rarely used monks i've been using ninjas and samurai mainly cause of their speed and power, i'll use them for the errands

the only time i really ever used a monk was when i needed someone to use a class that needed a monk to be lvl 4 job skill or something. Other then that I only remember using it onnce near the start at the fortress where the guys are like "Damn its the hotkuen knights!". (Theres like 2 monks, 2 knights, and an archer or something.

i learned that it was bust to get mediators early so from the early points i had them and then built up to the monk after awhile

Monks rock. I made Ramza a monk after mastering most of the other classes. Gave him Two Swords ability and counter attack. Equiped a (Bracer...I think) and watched him annhialate everything. He attacks twice doing 870 a hit and 100% success rate (Concentrate). Even his Wave Fist was nasty (around 700).

I used knight with concentrate and kept using speed, mind, and power break, plus I kept doing those until he had 1 MgPw, 1 AtkPw, 1 Speed just for the experience and JP plus I kept attacking then healing him lol...I did it for about like 3 hours and got him up like 18-22 lvs plus I mastered Knight and somehow monk (I have no clue how he was never a monk -.-' b4 battle he had like 12jp for monk after he had like 5506 or somethinglike that ) I was liek OMG WTF?!?!?

*Hell Yeah! in fact i use monks in every battle because theyre great offensive and supportive class!they can help in quip leveling and they can take out any opponent with a few punches,they go well with the squire ability "accumulate" monk punches can have a maximum damage of 999!

it takes a long time to buff but its worth it,plus with high attack their healing and curing abilities get better too

*revive! no other class has the skill to revive an ally! Monk class is the best!!!

Actually White Mages can revive characters

And if you use accumualte with any class there skills will increase. I used a monk only to get the Geomancer inturn to get a ninja. Monks are good at the start, but without the Equiped Heavy Armour skill (which is aquired from a Knight skill), they phail at the end.
