Mime, Worthless or Amazing?

This thread is about the Mime.
The ultimate class in this game you get after being every class for some time.
He is not worth it in my opinion.

The mime sucks.
You can't equip things on him and all he does is Copy.
If someone is equipped with a gun and fires Up 3 Spots.
The Mime will immediately fire a gun up 3 spots no matter who is standing there(Nobody, Ally, Enemy).

The same thing with all other Ranged attacks.
He can't attack on his own because all he can do is Punch.
You can't equip other abilities or Job Skills on him.
All he does is move and attack your Allies or an Empty Spot!!

Screw you Mime.

Look at Him/Her.
They even Look Stupid!

Makes me wish I hadn't worked so hard to get it. The first time I used one, the damn mime killed off all my people.

I say Useless.

I think the male mime looks rockin'. The female mime looks creepy.

Mimes take a lot of hard work to get and use. I got one, but I didn't take the time to figure out how best to use her in battle. (Actually, most of the time I just made her face away from everyone to be safe unless I was absolutely sure she would mirror what I wanted and where I wanted it.)

Since you hate them so much just be happy the new ultimate classes are the Dark Knight and the Onion Knight.

I have to admit I'm not a big fan of the Mime, but if you're really creative and are able to think clearly before every move you make they can be monsters. You just have to know how to use them. Sure it's not really worth it, but they can be fun to fool around with and are extremely powerful when used with caution.

I like how both Mimes look, especially the female, actually!

They can be useful if you actually want to put the time & supreme effort into using them...But, it's normally going to just be easier to use one of the Jobs you're going to have to go through to get to Mime than to use Mime itself...

Woah now wait just a second here. Mime is an incredible class. Don't believe me? Check the in depth guides on gamefaqs.

The mime mimics all your allies attacks, has a stronger punch than a monk, has higher hp innately and is limited in number of attacks per turn only by the number of non-mime allies you have.

Here's a basic pairing. One master calculator and one mime. Think about that. How about just a full party of monks and mimes, line em up right next to the enemy and swing away. If you think ahead you will get some serious use from the mime.

How about you've got a mage that you want to have cast a spell but you also want to keep them out of harms way? Move in a mime line up the shot and have the mage drop the bomb on empty ground. Mime casts the spell and has enough hp to take the heat from the enemies.

They are worth the trouble, trust me. Now then if you're playing the PSP version there's no reason not to just use an uber powerful Black knight...they just plain rock. Black Knight Ramza + Balthier, that'll carry you the whole game.

simply put, the mime is crap. i have qar of the lions for PSP, and have a full team of level 99 Dark Knights ( btw it'll take you plenty of hours to get that high... current playing time for me is 91 hours) but yeah i suppose the mime could be useful if used correctly.

I thought the Mime was crap. Especially so for the female one, why is she a cat!?
Anyway, i probably couldn't use the mime properly... IMO, to use a mime, you'd probably need a lot of thinking and planning. And more importantly, use spells. Best would be summoning.
Get a summoner to cast a powerful summon spell, and watch as they copy non-stop.
If that summon is powerful (Zodiac), then its good for you. Otherwise, go ahead and cry, I've no interest in trying it out.

1) Everyone has there own opinion on how mime looks.

2) Exactly, it's Final Fantasy Tactics meaning that it all depends on how you use it. For example, the job Calculator would be useless if you would use it to kill yourself and you're allies, but at the same time it can easily wipe out all your enemies in 1 good move.

Actually, since you can't cast Summons on empty panels (or at least, last time I recall, I haven't really used Summoner much the last few playthroughs myself), it's probably best to be a different Mage (although, like previously mentioned CALCULATOR!!)...Although the one drawback of using Calculator+Mime is that the statistics you use could change from when the Caculator uses its ability and when the Mime copies it, so it's another thing you'd have to take into consideration before attacking...*shrugs*
