Mayhap
So just curious to know why they used "Mayhap" in Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSP.. was it a miss translation or was it actually what somebody says? I've never heard somebody say "Mayhap" in a sentence until i played this game.

As it would happen, I thought that this thread was directed at me (or, rather, my username). In Starcraft, during the Zerg campaign, a character named Tassadar is challenged to a battle by Kerrigan, to which he replies "Mayhap, O Queen, or is it only that I need not flaunt my power in such an infantile test of will?"
He frequently used old English phrases, so I'm guessing it derives from there as a combination of "maybe" and "perhaps".

It would be easy to declare that Arcturus Mengsk was a master manipulator, which he was, or that he reguarly deceived others, which was true as well. But it would be a mistake to deny all personal responsibility for falling in to his web. It seems now the height of folly ever to have dealt with the man, but think of the situation when the Sara system died. You had the mindless beasts of the Zerg on one side and the unholy fury of the Protoss on the other. And in the middle you had the criminal bureaucracy of the old Confederacy of Man, which was willing to write off the population of two planets in order to learn more about its enemies. With such a surplus of devils in the universe, what did it matter if there was one more?

Yes now that you say this when i read the sentence when they say "Mayhap" i fill in those 2 words and it make sense. I figured it was those from the start but i wasn't sure if it was just a mistranslation but i guess not.
