No, not really.
There's a small amount of romance between Ovelia and Delita, but other than that, there really isn't.

While there is a minor love story between Delita and Ovelia, that isn't the focus of the story.
I'm not sure how different the hand held game is from the original one for the PS1 is, but the story is pretty good without romance.
While some of the FF games DO have romance, I never really saw them as the main focus in terms of the story, just something to add a more "human" element. At least that's what I think.

We are not considering the love intrest made official through the PSP port, namely Mustadio/Agrias. True, it is massively insignificant and totally irrelevant to the story, but I think it deserves attention.
I also think the romance between Delita and Ovelia is being far too down-played in terms of signifigance. It epitomized one of the game's major questions: Was Delita hypocritically manipulating Ovelia or was he truly acting out of his love for her? This of course ties into the game's point of being unable to completely understand another human, no matter how close one is; a point critical to the plot and to the game's philosophy.

hmmm...... Well he did kill her at the very end though, didn't he? And that was all part of his plan to become king, wasn't it? I haven't played the game in a long time, but I think that he was mainly just manipulating her. If he gained any feelings for her, apparently it wasn't enough.

Well Addleboy, Olevia actually stabbed Delita first and then Delita knocked her out
Im thinking No because technically, Delita and Olevia were never inlove other then them hugging all the time. Delita basically used everyone and then it all worked out in his scheme.
And for the Mustidio and Agrais thing, All he did was give her a present no?

LOL. Wow, didn't know that one. Delita only knocked her out?
Thought she died or something then.

You clearly don't remember when Delita pledged his life to protect Ovelia, and that by his hand he would make her a true Monarch, then.
Also, no. He didn't kill Ovelia to become King. He was king since after Goltana Druksmald and Bestada Larg were both murdered. Ovelia stabbed Delita with a dagger, and he returned her a blow to the abdomen.
