I'll be honest, as of yet I don't see anything good about it. It was sooo slow to begin which, so I've not played it much. The battle system seems tedious. =/ It's an SRPG... I guess it depends on what you enjoy.

The story looked engaging, but I've not yet been drawn into it because of the battle system. But, then again, I mainly play Final Fantasy for its story anyway; turn based battles aren't my favourite. But Tactics has the most tedious I've encountered...ever... That's just my personal, differing, opinion.

*well theres the problem you havent played it through out yet and your immediately judging it

*i guess it cant be helped cause there are many games that have better graphics and battle systems, but i guarantee this game can compete with its complex strategic framework adn mind boggling twists

*weeeeeeeeeee TACTICS RULE!!!

I personally liked it. The storyline was really dark and mature, and Ramza, the hero of the game, was the really the light in the dark. You sympathize with a lot of the villains and people who you thought were the good guys are really devious.

I had to play it twice to understand the story, because it is complicated.

I likes the job class and that you had to level up in certain job classes to get to the more advanced ones.

This is a strategy game, very different from the usually FF games. It's like a chessboard and your characters are your pieces.

I haven't done any side quests or special character recruitments yet, but they definitely worth pursuing before you beat the game.

It's an interesting game but somehow I think the Fire Emblem and Shining Force series execute it more fluidly.

So far I'm really enjoying it. I didn't expect the psp version to be that great, but so far it is. I didn't no you could get cloud and balthier, so thanks for that information guys. The only thing I'm having trouble with is figuring out the complex storyline....
The answer to your question though is yes, it is definately worth getting.

2nd only to FF7! read my review in the other thread. It's an Amazing game, with an awesome story, BUY IT NOW. It shows that a game where all the people have no noses can still rock.

I'm not gonna lie, the game is annoying. Especially at the beginning, the first few levels aren't good at all. It's worth playing though, as it does get a lot better and it does have a great storyline. I haven't played the psp version but I might just have to pick it up.

I just liked the battles so much I would deliberately avoid ending the game so I could keep on fighting battles and learning new abilities for my characters. I like chess, too, maybe that's why.
