How good is the game?

I have not actually played this game but I hear from some people that it is the best Final Fantasy game overall.

It is a strategy game and I think the battle system is very similur to Fire Emblem's.

As Rydia said above it's a strategy, so no Active time battle. If you're use to JRPGs and active time battle you may, or may not like it. If you've played strategy games in the past then by all means buy the game. It's pretty good, I'd say it worth buying.

This game was in my top 5 favourites. It is now out with better graphics and such for the PSP. Its a Strategy based game that you must take turns during battle. It has a very interesting tale and is uber win.

The game is sheer class. The story and characters are some of the best I've seen and as far as FF games go this is right up there with Final Fantasy VII.

Great game. It's far more engaging than other Final Fantasy games I've played. Presents more of a challenge. The plot is amazing as well.

Definitely worth your time.

Well, I havn't played the PSP version But I think the PSX version is kickass.
I rate it a freaking 25 out of 10!! It's great storyline. nice and long, many customization options and abilitys, almost always something to learn about the game, Cheap(if you can find it :/) If I didn't own it already I would pay 50$ for it! I like it because It's got cloud as a secret character too. it's somewhat challenging at first, but once you beat it and read some strategy guides and info online you Dominate the game and still have fun(because most games when you beat it so easyily they get boring) This one don't get so boring, atleast not for me anyways..You should defiantly buy and play it.

This game will outrank all my favourite games..
What i like about it would be the fact that it gives you a chance to customize all your characters.. In other words, anyone could be of the job class you want..!! The secret characters are fun to get too.. I highly recommend this game..

*Are you kidding me? if you havent tried tactics yet your missing half of your gaming life

this game is very good,enjoyable and youll have a grand time of venturing into unknown maps,killing demons and monsters and youll be able to create awesome characters with wicked sick skills,and customize your warrior as you please

*you absolutely need to get this game!its for your own good!

You can unlock alot of different characters such as Cloud, Beowulf, Reis (human and Dragon) and in the PSP version there are 2 new characters, Balthier (from FF12) and Luso (a new character from Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced2)

The game has the greatest story out of every single Final Fantasy i have ever played.
