Final Fantasy Tactics missions on the PSP...?
I haven't played FF Tactics on the PS1 in ages-- I just got it for the PSP...
On the PS1 version couldn't you go to the taverns and select missions to gain items and secrets and things like that? Because I just started playing it for the PSP and it has an option at the taverns for Mission and Rendezvous and it just searches for another player... which I'm guessing has to be within like 5 feet of me and ready to go.
I could have SWORN you could select missions at the taverns and go out... so is this going to be really different on the PSP? Am I not going to be able to unlock or get certain things because I don't have anyone to connect to for the missions?

The PSP version is the same as the PS1 version, in the sense that you pick a mission, send a party member, and wait a few days/battles for the mission to be over. There have been extra mission types added though, which let you go multiplayer and complete missions together...or against each other.

I'm pretty sure you are thinking of Final Fantasy Tactics A2. In FFTA2 you could go to the pubs and get missions and then go and do them. I don't ever recall doing that in the normal tactics, but i could be wrong.

With what is being spoken of here, you dont actually do the missions, you send not important units to do it, wait that many days as given, and come back to the bar, if I am not mistaken. It is quite possible to that what you said is the case, I do not know, but I'm just sayin.
