Ok I put a vote to friends on my msn buddy list and the most voted is to be my FFT challenge!

Beat the game using only mage classes where possible!

Rules:
1. Use Random battles early on to open the required mage classes

2. All mages must be pure class, the only acceptable secondary is item which can only contain potion, phoenix down and ether.

3. Named characters can only be used in battles where you have NO choice but to use them, and even then, dont use them if you can help it (stick them to the back and out of the way)

4. Cross-jobbing is completely forbidden with the exception of item secondary ability, the rest MUST be taken from that mages job tree (reactives, proactives and movement)

5. Abusing the Infinite Job Point bug or the Item dupe bug will result in disqualification!

Ok Now thats out of the way, I'm looking to name the characters after FFF members (to make updates of the progress slightly more interesting)

End of Day 1:

Dorter Trade City Completed.

Argor = Level 6 Job Level 4
Vikk = Level 6 Job Level 4
Mandi = Level 6 Job Level 2
Shinryuu = Level 6 Job Level 3
Adri = Level 5 Job Level 3

MVP's for Day one: Argor, Vikk, Mandi and Shinryuu, Argors bolt 2 one shotted several dangerous enemies, Vikk kept the team ticking over never bringing any serious doubts to the team, Shinryuu didnt miss a single Haste or Slow. A well Timed Paralyse and Blind from Mandi made sure the Archer Npcs never got a look in.

Nice to see Mini-Argor is coming along strongly.

Start of day 2 update:

Thieves fort fell with relative ease, now preparing for the battle of lenalia plateau and the much more difficult battle with Wiegraf, Argor has broke 140+ damage already with his bolt 2 (he now possesses MagicAtkUp)...Vikk Has learned Esuna and Cure2, Mandi can now drain mp, Adri can cast Ice 2 and Shinryuu (who still has not missed a single cast) is soon to learn Teleport.

update:

Chapter 1 is now complete and went off without a hitch, first battle of Chapter 2 went smoothly too, im starting to think this challenge might be a little too easy as the pure utility is making most of the fights extremely easy, but my guess is all that will change when it comes to gafgarion and velius/wiegraf ^^

I decided not to bother with teleport (just yet) and am saving Shinryuu's job points to buy Short change instead, as this will be instrumental for casting stop, Argor is now very much a force to be reckoned with an is very much dominating with bolt 3 now added to his arsenal.
