Final Fantasy Tactics A2
Many of you know about this (most likely) but a new FFTA is coming for the DS!
It's called FFTA2: The Sealed Grimoire. You take control of yet another modern character named Luso, who is teleported to the land of Ivalice (quite original). However, you`ll be able to traverse all of Ivalice (the original, FFXII and the floating isles of FFXII:RW!). The gameplay remains the same with a few new features, including a new "clan abilities" system, allowing you to have different abilities, such as locating traps.
There will also be new jobs, such as Body Guard and Chocobo Rider. But among the good, there is the bad: Judges. These arbiters of combat make a return, giving out infractions to whomever breaks their law.
So far, in my opinion, it looks promising. No drastic changes and new mechanics should make for a refreshing re-visit to the land of Ivalice.

~Update~
Good news to the Judge hating ones. According to Game Informer Magazine, the punishment for breaking an area's law no longer results in being put in jail! Instead, items you recieve in battle will be taken away in leau of jail time! So dont worry about your "Forbidden: Swords" law, because the worst that will happen is losing out on a Hi-Potion or two(or maybe a super rare item, but...)
Also, the name has been changed to Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift.

And criminy, looks like I'll need to buy a DS!
it wuz an accident. nao we has to wait for someone to move it.
Anyway, the game looked promising last I checked. There's even going to be a few more races introduced to the game which will actually include sleegs, judging from artwork and wallpapers on the Japanese site.

I'm not sure if I'd enjoy the gameplay, though. After a while, the FFTA system got ridiculously boring and repetitive, so hopefully these few new additions bring a lot of replayability to the game. I like the changes to the judging system, though I never had many problems with the one in FFTA. I always kept the laws in the back of my mind.

It got addictive foshure.
DUDE, that sucks your characters don't go to Prison! What is the point of having fearsome judges now? OOOOH, they're going to take an item or two kthxbai >.>
Not good. Pah. Having dangerous laws like that was awesome. Now the removal of Jail makes me weep.

its been out in jap for half of forever. I've played it (a little - pointless without me being able to speak jap) At the best thing, so far, is they got rid of the retarded snowball scene at the start
Seems like more of the same, with a few small changes, which suits me fine. Just need them to get a goddam english translation done already, since its been about 6 months so far!

Just a few more months now...Although I wish they'd make an actual sequel to the original FFT, FFTA2 will have to tide me over...Also, you don't need a DS if you EMULATE! HA! They've got (a) decent enough DS emulator(s) now-a-days.
