You should be able to defeat the monsters with ease if you have the right equipement and skills (and the ability to play a strategy game WELL) for instants my Knights always have something like this:

Action1: Obviously Battleskill (mastered)
Action2: Item or Punch Art(Mastered)
Reaction: Counter,Hamedo(best on human enemies) AutoPotion HP Restore
Support: Two Swords
Move: Ignore Hieghts or Move +2

***If you do not have enough jp to masted knights or Monk all it takes is like an hour(per character) to do so, just get in battle with one person left and keep using things like Yell, Accumilate, Chakara(on "attacked" teamates or even the last monster), attack teammates and heal(same with last surviving monster) until you have enough then finish battle and master the skill*** *DON'T FORGET TO SAVE* lol it sucks doing all that then going and not saving and loosing next match -.-'



You can't see a trap they are "invisible" you have to move on top of them to find them. The one in Zekeleus Desert is on the lower areas(center isle, lower than rest of map) and to the edge of the map, I think center tile on the far right.
