Battle Techniques?
Well, My favorate Technique is 3 Monks(1 Ramza) and 2 Mages(Perferably Black Mages with Time Magic, Counter Magic, Half Of MP, and Move Gain MP SKills. I make my Characters these classes ASAP because well, these are the Best/Fastest Classes to get in terms of growth rates(http://www.finalfantasyforums.net/sh...749#post259749) I also Like having like 4 or all Characters being Calculators because It's easy to master mage's classes because of scroll glitch, and THey take no Mana!! also because they can wipe out "Board" in matter of 1 tern each if they have all skills

Well, my favourite might be a little time-consuming for beginners but it's possible at any part of the game...
Mine's getting the Time Mage's skill, Teleport and get the Samurai's Sword Grab and 2-Handed..! (I'm quite the fan of melee attacking in this game so..)
This combination will ensure that you can get to your opponent very fast and whack him/her so hard s/he may die in just one hit. And also block ranged or melee attacks so often that they might have to turn the whole enemy party into mages just to attack you..! However, for me, i forsaken the path of the mages to train my whole party to learn these combinations, ha ha..

Now see, I kinda do that but I jsut get knights with High AtkPw and put...
2nd skill - Punch Art
Counter Skill - Hamedo
Support - Two Swords
Movement - Move +3 or Move get HP
BUt I also have a great mage in the party just so if theres other mages on enemy team for example:
Black Mage
2nd-Time Magic or Calculator Ability
counter-Couter Magic
Support-Half MP or Two Swords
Movement-Move MP up, or Teleport
With High MgPw and MP.
Equipement-Wizard hat(+1 MgPw), Wizard Robe(+2 MgPw), (2) Wizard Rods(+2 MgPw), Either Magic Gunlet(+2 MgPw) or Wizard Mantel(+1 MgPw and Evade)
This way the if the enemy has mages their gone just by attaking my mage because I make sure all my character have good brave and fiath for counters and magic, also if the enemy has jsut warriors my mage will dominate them in like 1-2 hits

Gee.. What a waste, chemist are pretty important to my survival in the game at the earlier parts lol...
The later parts are pretty smooth with much more powerful characters and mages.

I heard that mimes are definitly not worth it >.> i havent even bothered getting them.
I dont bother with strategy... i usually tend to try to get my main character (Ramza) to a ninja and then learn double sword and then turn him into a knight for the rest of the game.
I also tend to attack my own characters to get more xp. I usually kill all but one enemy and put his hp to 20 or so and then fight eachother and heal. Its a fast way to lvl.

In any game of any grid-based style, I like to have as many long-ranged unit, thus in Tactics / Advance I like having Archers, even though they're a pain to master. It's fun in levels with numerous buildings and levels.

Ha ha, i agree with you fully. I always do that too.. Sometimes, i may choose to surround the monster, not letting him move at all, and keep whacking and healing him.
Just another alternative, i suppose..

Archers can be good but for my long range attackers i like to stick with mages because they can do multiple damage sometimes instantly. Later in the game i like using Dragoons even though there not far range, once you master them they can reach quite far with jump and do huge dmg. I also use Summoners later on. They hit huge dmg aswell. Archers are good at the start but i dont like em too much near the end.
