Lol.. Kills everybody too fast...? Gee, i got to agree with that one... (Well, being able to use Meliadouls' Sword breaking techniques, a Dark Knight's absorption techniques and a Holy Knight's powerful Holy Sword skills definitely would own any job class around.. )

*hold on guys!you have good points there but having "Excalibur" or "sword grab" isnt a full proof plan for every opponent.

*what if you encounter a party of red chocobos or black ones,any character would be in trouble with a barrage of meteors from the buggers..even if it is Orlandu or any char for that matter.

*you have to have a full proof strategy like what i proposed earlier

*well they have theyre strengths and weaknesses

*hmmm... dragoons are strong but they arent a guarantee of victory against strong monsters such as behemoth or dragons,even if you use jump and keep your distance,sometimes the skill misses cause it takes a long time and the monster escapes the panel,ive tried a dragoon party,i was disappointed because of their lack in healing ability and their attacks are just mediocre

Does anyone use Orators at all?

I guess damage wise they are pretty useless but one of the fun things about this game is not going with the most damaging jobs and using tactics to win.

On the flip side I have most of my characters as dark Knights with Duel Swords and Item ability for healing.
I have one white mage with summoning and the halve MP use ability for extra help.

My Ramza however I make an Orator and give him the Knights Arts of War ability so he kin reduce enemies equipment from a distance and screw with enemies minds. I also give him the concentrate ability (learn from archer,) it means that even though his attacks don't do much he always hits with it and guns have excellent range.

*hey there kit...im...also..kit hehe well thats a good combinations of abilities to strengthen a Orator,but as you said this type of char doesnt do that much damage,infact with strong opponents this customized char will be a liability to the party...his mind tricks will work well on humans and weak monsters like goblins,but with dragon types and brute types itl be tough

*the dark knight strategy isnt too good either,you can get killed by ganging monsters,especially ones with high HP,as ive said before,attacking monsters with melee isnt a good idea if the monster can counter and do more damage.you can heal with items but this wont be enough and attacking and assailing wont work on chocobos of flying monsters as they can follow you wherever you go and finish you off

Sure! Although I set his Talk Skill as the secondary ability more than the class. Why worry about Sleep Spells when you can instant cast it on 5 people at the same time, and with a greater height range to boot? and ~NO~ MP usage!


Has anyone found any good use for the reflect spell? The spell reflects, but it jst seems random as to where the spell is being reflected to. But because of that, your casting range can be effectively extended, right?

*well reflect is only effective with spell casting enemies as youve said the bounce is random,i personally find it useless.monsters with magic abilities cant be reflected and they can pound you out even with reflect! not a very effective strategy.

I use an Orator on occassion but i havent really used one much. I usually use one when i get to Deep Dungeon and get the lvl 90's I fight. But they never seem to be as good as my characters i use. Ive never used Ramza as anything but a Knight, Ninja, Dragoon, or anyother Physical character (other then when i got a dark knight) I find him more useful as a powerhouse rather then a mage.

*Good strategy guys but still not good enough,i admit those cobinations about knights and Ramza as apower house are good still there is a weakness.

*Bloody monsters like dragon types and chocobo types will erase your party into dust! while you use melee attacks theyll gut you open with long range abilities like meteor and breath attacks!

Dude, My party kills them in one hit, How am i going to dust if i do that? Plus there all lvl 78 so....

The best technique is to charge into battle. Thats what ive always done and I always end with no characters dead because they look out for eachother.
