what are your general thoughts on the game overall. personally, i loved it, i found it a very fun game to play on my GBA when i had played all of my other games and i still replay it, im on my 7th time going all the way through. i find it very good to play when you want something decent to do and are bored.

I do enjoy it whenever I am bored. Also dawn of souls is good for passing time.

I haven't gotten all that far and I don't really understand the story....I just like setting up my players on a battlefield and doing various other things.

i think its great in the battle system, and how you develope your clan members abilities to fight.

other then no mediators it was pretty good

well, sadly, i have never played tactics, and im looking for a copy. so to me, its great because i dont see any flaw compared to tactics cuz i've nvr played it lol.

The game was fun for the first about twenty missions, watching the clan grow and your characters gaining new jobs and abilities, but then it just gets slow. Having to sit there for the slow movement phase, facing phase, attacking phase gets old. The special attacks and magic need more variety as well. There was little strategy involved other than "put your back to a wall", when what was needed was more attacks that attack different square placements, force you or your enemy to land on a different square, and attacks that deal better damage and hit % depending on the direction (such as an attack to the front having more accuracy than to the back).

Otherwise, the game became a simple "blast the enemy with your super stuff, rinse, repeat". The laws were lame too.

Still, it was enjoyable for some time, but I never did beat the last mission. I got to it, then quit. I probably should have finished it just to have it done, but I did not feel pulled into the game like others I have played; there was no drive to finish it.

If it had more of an Advance Wars feel, where every move counts and units have predictable maximum ranges, I think it would be more fun. Like Kibbles said, it often comes down to blasting your opponent from across the map over and over again, which in my opinion, is not a very effective battle system.

i barely ever used ranged attack, i used some magic, and mostly beatign the crap out fo them wiht my human and bangaa forces.

Double Sword=pwnage.

I found it to be quite addicting and i couldnt stop playing it. it is a great game that really helps out the final fantasy name
