Need Drama Help
Alright, so here's my situation.. I usually sleep in, due to the random acts of my alarm not going off, and I sometimes miss my first period class (or some of it, mostly). Now I usually wake up, and class is starting in about 5-10 minutes, and it takes me about 30 minutes to get ready, and then another 20 to just get to my high school... So I'm usually late.
Now in my drama class, all of it is group work. And last week I missed two periods (because when I wake up and I know Im late, I dont go to it, because my teacher freaks out and makes an issue). Now, when I did show up, I got kicked out of my group , so what am I supposd to do? Well, the presentation day comes, and I didnt go because, I had nothing to present, due to the fact that I got kicked out of my group, even though we practiced out of school.
So yesterday, my teacher told me I needed to come up with something to do, to make up for the unit I didn't complete, and I need the idea by Monday. I thought last night about it, but I couldn't come up with anything.
The subject was bullying. I'm going to be by myself, I bet, and I got nothing. Any ideas on what to propose to my teacher with would be nice .

I'm not sure I understand. What kind of presentation do you have to do, exactly? It would help if you can be more specific.

I need to present how bullying is a bad thing, and how it affects the school environment.. I was thinking about doing something like this;
*I walk into the classes 'stage'*
(With a sad face) I hate it when they bully me, constantly.. They call me names, and push me when they see me in the halls.. and its only because I'm a little different from them. I tell the teachers, but they can't do anything, really, and then the bullys call me more name. I just don't know what to do... Im just happy I get to go home now.. But then it'll start again tomorrow... *Walks off*
Or, you know.. Something on those lines. I didn't know if it would be good, so I came here seeking advice.

Ah, that's certainly a good one, yes. It calls the teacher's attentions and hopefully they might be able to do something about it to prevent it from happening. But then again, I really don't think that would be the case because there will ALWAYS be bullies, left and right, no matter where you turn to.
Hmm, you might also consider that if there ARE bullies in your class, they might um, you know...have something to say later on about it. So think about it.

I'm guessing a monologue is your only option. Relaying a story about you being bullied and nothing being done about it is a bit blázé, so how about assuming the role of someone famous? Not all bullying is within a school playground. As such, you might like to pinpoint certain people who harass celebrities; paparazzi for example.
Actually, does this have to be school-related bullying? If so, then your teacher is shit. Erases WAY too many options.
Also, you could perform the monologue as yourself, but in the future. The emotional trials you faced, the physical aggression you withstood from fellow pupils, and the fear of worsening things by telling your parents.
For that added explosion of drama at the end, you could always say you killed yourself (obviously, this would be you in purgatory). Bullying in school occasionally results in young people attempting, or committing suicide.
I think it'd be a great idea for you to point that out to people, rather than just stating that you took bruises from some macho guy in the year above.

Lol, were not really supposed to have a solution, I just gotta show how bullying can affect some people. And there aren't any bullys in my class, I'm good friends with about everyone .
Edit: Thanks Siax, I guess your right... And I don't think it has to be about just school... Its just that everyone told me about their presentation, and all of them took place in school.
