SE announced Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One

Square Enix announced Valkyrie Profile: The Accursed One for Nintendo DS, a new sequel to the Valkyrie Profile series. The protagonists are Wilfred, Lenneth, Eris and Ansel. Wilfred is a soldier, Lenneth is the reincarnation of the goddess, Eris is a mysterious woman who helps Wilfred and Ansel is a friend of Wilfred. The theme is about the revenge to the gods.

I think they should, at some point, tell Hrist's story in a game. But I was hoping there'd be another Valkyrie Profile game... and on a console I already own.

Oh this looks pretty good. I still have to get my hands on Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, but I do remember that I quite enjoyed the first game. Now it's on DS and more compact - I'll definitely keep an eye out for it.
