New details on FFXIII and Versus

- The battle system director will be Toshiro Tsuchida, the same director who worked on Final Fantasy X and creator of the Front Mission series.<o:p></o:p>
- The blond guy from the latest trailer will have a humorous fighting style.<o:p></o:p>
- There may be a job system but it hasn't been confirmed.<o:p></o:p>
- It was reiterated that Final Fantasy XIII will still use the White Engine being developed by Square Enix and will not use the newly acquired Unreal 3 Engine.<o:p></o:p>

Final Fantasy Versus XIII:<o:p></o:p>
- The gameplay will be a more realistic version of Kingdom Hearts with third person shooter elements similar to Dirge of Cerberus. Also, the point of view will change depending on the character's equipped weapon.<o:p></o:p>
- An airship has been confirmed as being a part of the game.<o:p></o:p>
- Nomura says that it would be too much work to do Kingdom Hearts 3 and Versus XIII at the same time, so development on KH3 will wait until FF Versus XIII is complete.<o:p></o:p>
- Versus XIII may be the last Final Fantasy Nomura will direct, as he wants to concentrate on the Kingdom Hearts series instead.

im curious to see what the battle system in XIII will be like. I wonder if its the same as XII

Awww.... I don't want Nomura to stop directing Final Fantasy. He's awesome! I can already see Versus XIII being my favorite game. Once he does KH3 he had better go back to Final Fantasy.

Everything was good to know news until they said they were going to implement DOC gun gameplay into the mix. I hope it doesn't turn out the same. I also hope Nomura will decide to keep doing FF games.
