STORY

Four elemental Crystals, each possessing awesome power, lie scattered throughout the realm. However, men are quick to covet things which offer strength, and easily corrupted by the might which they possess...

The dark knight Cecil - Lord Captain of Baron's elite force, the Red Wings - is ordered by his king to obtain the Crystals, but soon begins to question the monarch's motives. Sweeeeeeeet. This'll give me a reason to turn my DS on again. Haven't had anything to play since I determined Pokemon Diamond/Pearl was shit and completed Final Fantasy III.

Meh, I might get it...it depends really, its my birthday in 16 days and I've already ordered Crisis Core, FFI, FFII and FFT all for the PSP so I doubt I'll pick my DS up in a while.
Nevertheless, it sounds like a great game and a great post too

I'm excited about this

FFIV is my favorite FF game after all XD. Though I know that I'll end up being stubborn and prefer the original. And I'll probably nitpick the updated version to pieces XD

Excellent news! Europe still doesn't seem to have a release date from what I've been able to sift through, so an import may well be in order. IV's my favourite of the "classic" F.F.'s, so this is a must buy for me.

I've seen the opening FMV on the Japanese import. Pure magic it is, you won't be disappointed. I'll be on the look out for the European release date, shame they didn't implement their "simultaneous release" strategy for this one, would have been a good tester for the method.

What the...what? The regular 3D gameplay isn't "updated & remade" enough for ya? Not to mention extended storyline! FFIV was definitely one of the FFs that needed some sprucing up story-wise. Glad to hear more of the original script is going to be able to be put in.
