Squall has been confirmed recently. And i think it's safe to say that kefka, seifer, gilgamesh, cecil and a moogle will be making an appearance. I just wish they could release information more regularly. If they doo use kefka, I hope his level is the Monuemtn to Non-existence. It'd be soo much fun to fight you'r way up that as Esper terra.

Looks nice. I would've thought only medeival FF characters were going to be in it until Sephiroth popped up.

Looks great in the trailer. I'm guessing characters from all FF games will appear in it apart from FFXII, as they didn't have fixed weapons like the rest. But even with just the confirmed FF characters I'd be happy, I always wished I could've played FFIX with voices and more realism and now I can (the characters at least, anyways). Trailer was milking Sephiroth a bit too much though, he's had his moment.

I reckon they'll pick 3/4 heros from each game and 1/2 villains. Example
FFVI - Terra, Celes, Locke. Kefka.
FFVII - Cloud, Aerith, Tifa and Vincent. Sephiroth and the SHM
FFVIII - Squall Rinoa Quistis Zell, Edea, Ultimecia.
FFIX - Zidane, Beatrix, Steiner, Freya. Kuja, Garland.
FFX - Tidus, Rikku, Auron. Seymour, Jecht.
As long as the most popular characters in it, and they don't insanely overpower Sephiroth...i'll be happy.

I kinda wish sephiroth wasn't in it, or at least more subtle, he's stealing the light of older FF characters who havent had their time in the CG spotlight yet.

I sorta agree, lately Square Enix has just been adding Sephiroth to some spin-offs. Kingdom Hearts, Itadaki.... I don't mind it though, I would want to see more villains make a come back. I'm glad Kuja will be in this game.

I'm also glad Kuja is in it, I always wanted to see him in action like in a bash em up game, and now that he has a voice it just gives so much more depth to the character.
I'm hoping they include at least two characters from each classic FF, since it will give those classic games much more recognition than they currently have now.

I must admit I've heard very little of this. I hope they can make it work tho. I think you can work out which characters wont make it hoewever, for example Wakka. I'm also surprised that they have included Sephiroth because to make it work would they not have to dumb him down? And thus would simply not be Sephiroth
