Which Game had the most memorable music overall?
Forgive me if this topics already been created, but i didn't see it so i assumed it hadn't been.
Anyhoo, the questions self explanotary Really, which games music did you find was the best?
I personally think that it was a tie between FFVII and FFVI. FFVII has OWA J-E-N-O-V-A and Aeriths theme while FFVI has Terras theme Celes' Theme and Aria Di Mezzio Caraterra (the opera)
Theres plenty more tracks from each games which are just as good but i picked the three i like the best
IMO the music from VII and VI is just more memorable than any other FF game, or indeed any other game.

VII just because I've played that more than any other FF and found the music to be really appropriate, memorable, and beautiful. The character themes were also quite poignant, especially Aerith's and Tifa's themes. Beautiful. Though that opera scene in VI really got me because it was really beautiful. (shame I couldn't finish the game )
Anyways, yeah VII.

To answer this question, I asked myself which tunes I tend to find myself humming over and over when I've got some quiet time.
Final Fantasy VII - (Advent One-Winged Angel, J-E-N-O-V-A, Turks.
Final Fantasy VIII - Eyes on Me, Don't Be Afraid, Edea's Theme/The Parade, Maybe I'm a Lion, Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec.
Final Fantasy IX -Melodies of Life.
Final Fantasy X - Suteki Da Ne, To Zanarkand, Otherworld, Battle Theme, Seymour's Theme, [Seymour Flux Battle Theme - the name escapes me].
Final Fantasy XII - Everything.
I'm torn

for me, the title has to go to my favorite of the series, FFIX. i loved soo many songs, for example:
you're not alone
melodies of life
the place ill return to someday
cid's theme
steiner's theme
those whom we must protect
i could continue, but im not up to typing a novel.

I think VII and X. VII has what's in my opinion the best battle theme. OWA is also awesome. I also like the music on the mission of blowing up the first reactor. X has "To Zanarkand" and the piece of music which plays when you interrupt Yuna's Wedding with Seymour. The characters' themes were also good.

VIII is the one that usually comes into my head, albeit it's almost always Force Your Way. So VIII wins on the count that it's had probably the best Boss tune of any F.F. game so far. XII is a very close second, possibly tying for first actually.
Although.....since it's S-E music and not just Final Fantasy......can I say Chrono Trigger instead?

I'd say it's a tie between VI and IX for the top spot. "Cyan," "Coin Song," Black Mage Village," "Vivi's Theme," "Aria de Mezzo Carraterre," "Dancing Mad," "Vamo alla Flamenco," good gravy, it just goes on and on. The most overrated I'd have to say goes to VII. "One-Winged Angel," as magnificent as it is, cannot save a rather turgid-sounding soundtrack.

I say...FFX!
that had the most memorable music, with Auron's theme, Yuna's theme and the infamous To Zanarkand
Closely behind in second place to me was FFVII, especially One Winged Angel. that song kicks major ass

I can't decide between VII and X...both games have great music. But I would say that VII has more memorable music, so VII it is. But as far as quality, then X, since To Zanarkand can't really beat any FF music out there. xD Well I think so anyway.
