technical SE music
my music teacher told me to listen to one piece of orchestray music each day to improve my theory so i thought it was a good reason to get into game music. so can anyone recommend any technically good FF songs? (trills and stuff like that)

Try some FFX stuff, to Zanarkand is a good peice of music

Thers also the FFVII soundtrack which is on the whole really good, One Winged Angel is really rather epic.....

Most of the good music came from them two games but I dont really know of any more music from other FF games I never listened to FF8's music I just played it.

I guess they did, they certainly had the most memorable, though it's not as technical as some stuff I've heard. Nobuo Uematsu's style isn't overly complicated, he keeps it simple and memorable. That's his appeal ^^

Here's my best list (I'm hoping to incorporate some of this stuff into my own study )-

To Zanarkand (FFX)
One Winged Angel (Comp FFVII, AC version is best)
Liberati Fatali (FFVIII)
Aerith's Theme (FFVII)
Cloud's Theme (aka FFVII Main Theme)
The one mentioned which was a piano version of Those Who Fight Further, the battle theme from FFVII
Suketi Da Ne orchestral version (FFX)

Most of the stuff Uematsu writes is heavily thematic, he tends not to try and pad it out with trills and such very often. Yet it still sounds epic. My advice is to check out the Tour Du Japon stuff on YouTube to really get into the orchestration of the music, makes analysing it much easier.
