Help. Which piano song should I play
Hey comrades, if you read the title then you'll probably have suused out that i need help...
I need help on choosing what song to play at my papa's birthday coming up in 3 weeks. The choice is between "To Zanarkand" and "Hikari". I've already got the sheet music for them both so I'm ok in that area.
If you haev any other suggestions that would be great also.
You may also have noticed I've had to repost this thread after the LSD thing.

To Zanarkand definatly, its just such a pretty song and if played well on paino its Second only to Aeriths theme (which is high praise coming from me )

If played well on the Piano it's BETTER than Aeris' Theme.
But only play it if it's from the Piano Collections. The OST isn't as good.

I played them both for my music exam in May
If you're playing them on PIANO [as in, using both bass and treble clef], then I'd suggest To Zanarkand, as it's much more simple, it's equally as beautiful and it's far from repetitious. You'll learn in no time. I can't actually play the piano, properly, and even I can play this xD
If you're playing them on KEYBOARD [as in, using chords on every bar instead of using the bass and treble clef] then I'd suggest Hikari. To Zanarkand has a fair bit of melody in the bass clef and taking it out would therefore make it a different song. Hikari's bass clef doesn't do much to the actual song and, for my keyboard exam, I put chords at the top of the bars and used them instead of actually playing the piano. Hikari can be a bit repititious after the chorus, though.
If you end up playing Hikari and you'd prefer the chords, PM me and I'll give you my list of chords for it

Yeah, i already know how to play them both. I've been able to play To Zanarkand since febuary. it's just the goddamned matter of picking one of them. Zanarkand kicks ass whenplayed on piano, but hikari feels more melodious.
