Weight Lifting

Does anyone besides me feel that they need to workout everyday to not feel small? If so place your max on the following lifts.

Bench-Press:
Squats:
Power-Clean:

My list would be:

Bench:210
Squats:275
Power-Clean:220

lbs. btw

I worked out when I played baseball in highschool. Once I graduated, I pretty much stopped with the lifting.

Didn't care about "feeling small." I did it so I could compete at a higher level in sports. Now that I don't play, I don't lift. I've tried to get back into it, but I have no motivation. Oh, well.

Oh, and I wouldn't recommend doing it everyday, dude. Lifting is actually more beneficial when you take a day off to allow your body to recuperate.

I did for a few months, but had to stop due to a small injury in my left wrist and left knee that I got while playing basketball.

And remember, the amount of weight surely helps but what truly develops your muscles is doing the exercises correctly. Besides, sometimes big muscles doesn't equal enormous strength. I've seen being dudes getting pawned by little dudes that you would believe were weaklings....

People do surprise us....

I hear voices crying
I see heroes dying
I taste the blood that's drying
I feel the tension rising

exactly, theres two types of muscle, i could go into it but no.
and you are right again, proper form is a lot better for you when lifting, tis why you rotate your arm when doing bicep curls etc

bench 80
squats 95
curls 25

(kgs btw)

Iv been going to the gym, altho not everyday, or even once a week I just go when the fancy takes me

I swear some of that stuff looks like torture devices, I did some weight thingies that nearly killed my arms, I managed about 20 on like the second lightest weight and I ached for 2 days afterwards

Altho tbh, I don't want to look muscly coz those female bodybuilders just look ew O_o

Haha, I thought that was lbs at first. I got'cha.

That's around what I do. Most of my exercises focused on endurance rather than strength.

I love being lean too much to workout actively. My metabolism is really high, so I never gain weight or anything so I can just maintain the same body type without doing any work. I think working out isn't involving enough to occupy my mind, either... I have problems paying attention to things that are repetitive and montonous. >>;

That's a very good point. Lifting weights may be one of the most dull methods of exercise out there. The ONLY way I can do it is if I have music to listen to.

Even then, I'm usually bored. Going for a run is much better. Get some air...check out the scenery...

yes I agree proper form and an allocated day or possibly more of rest is so much more effective than going everyday. I could go into the muscle fibres fast and slow twitch but i dont think i will. Also going to the gym everyday can affect the results especially if you work the same muscle groups everyday you will hit, a very solid, wall or plateau as some may know them by and your muscles will not grow.

Bench- 60 kgs
squat- 85-ish kgs
free weight basic curls-16 kgs

I am only 15 so i believe these are good weights. They are all lifted with correct form.

Pm me if you want to talk about this kind of stuff =]
