Man City are looking to bring in a 'minimum of 18 players' of which targets are;

Robinho - £32.5 million
Ronaldo - £135 million
Villa -
Fabregas -
Torres -
Gomez -

x_x

£135 million could bring ANYONE to the club, it's become somewhat ludicrous money now. D:

I'd imagine that even United would sell for that amount of money but that doesn't mean that Ronaldo would want the move. Given the choice of United, Real and City would you look at City as a serious option?

It depends, Madrid seem to do very little in the Champions League at the moment and losing Robinho, one of their best players when he played doesn't send out a sign of positivity...but then again, Ronaldo only wanted to go because of money.

But if Ronaldo wants to win stuff then I probably would say City IF they get who they want. Money solved all of Chelsea's problems from being 3/4th constantly to 1st and 2nd. =/

People should calm down and wait and see what happens with Manchester City and all this business before coming out with snap predictions as to how this will change the Premiership/football/life and the universe itself.

I wish we'd signed one or two players before the window closed, but in the end this is Wenger's choice and now I just have to get behind the team and the manager. I do think the squad is too thin and we'll wish we had bought players (the performance against Fulham was dreadful enough to have me worried), but there's no use moaning about it now.

As for club teams playing national teams, I get the feeling it only occurs in exhibition matches or testimonial games etc. It's pretty rare anyway.

Certainly not, 3-0 at Everton's place is a result in anyone's books.

I'm personally quite chuffed to see so many England nationals at Fratton Park, it's something I never thought I'd see. If Defoe and Crouch can gel over the coming weeks then I can only see that benefiting the England national side. I wouldn't have any other man overlooking their partnership at the moment than Mr. Redknapp, that's for sure.

King Kev getting sacked lawl

As much as I'd love to blame Wise it's not really him you can blame, whilst yes he has some sort of say in the transfers Mike Ashley is the one who finazlies all the decisions so he's too blame and neither is Ashley liked so he might as well sell up now before things go from bad to worse.

Thank fuck we have the best chairman in the league the way managers are resigning and being sacked. D:

I'm impressed too, but I was more impressed when David James finally got the call up, which should've earlier (although Kranky's goal at Wembley vs. Carson was worth every defeat, plus it was the finishing blow for McClaren, what's wrong with that?). When we signed Sol Campbell, David James and Glen Johnson in the rebuilding of the squad in summer 2006, the offical website added the prefix 'England international', despite none of the three players having a regular spot at the time. =/

But now, Defoe, Johnson and James in the England squad. That's a hell of a lot more impressive than just having one England squad-worthy player who will probably move to Liverpool at some point anyway (ie. Boro).

Tomorrow I'm going to see Peterborough United play God knows FC in the Football League One. Some free tickets came into hand, and I've nothing better to do at lunchtime.

I'm still surprised Capello started with Heskey tonight. He's long past his best, I think, and we'd be a lot better off starting Defoe. Especially since we have Rooney to be the man to hold the ball up, which it seems is Heskey's role.
Fantastic performance from Theo Walcott tonight, he was getting himself into space all over the pitch and he seemed to be two steps ahead all the time, picking out passes that weren't obvious until the very last minute and so on. It's a great win to get it in Zagreb, and it'll give the team a lot of confidence ahead of the next game. Hopefully the team can keep fit over the next month.

So John Ward was sacked from Carlisle today, after we only picked up one point in the last eleven games. We've gone from top to 20th in that time. >> The annoying thing is, that in a lot of the games we (apparently) haven't deserved such harsh results, other than a 5-0 defeat to Colchester. I went down to the Hartlepool game last week on Tuesday and they only had about two shots on target, and in the last 20 minutes they only had the ball out of their own half on one occasion, yet we lost 1-0. I just don't understand how it's all gone wrong.

And I'm feeling rather embarrassed about Arsenal's string of results lately. The draw against Tottenham was as painful as a defeat, although there wasn't really a terrible lot anyone could have done about the goals; they were all top notch.
