Fabregas could be back for the game against FC Twente tonight, but I'm not sure how likely that is. He'll almost definitely be back for the Newcastle match at the weekend.
I like how the Senderos loan deal is being likened to Juventus buying Boumsong a couple of years back in the papers. Because he really is being thrown in way out of his depth there. And I'm also quite thrilled about us signing Silvestre from Man Utd. On paper, he has everything we need.

English Premiere League, ftw.
Liverpool would be my favorite club team, with Steven Gerrard being my favorite player and England my favorite National team =P

Our scoreline made Stoke look a better team than they actually are, seriously 3 own goals in the first 3 games.
Stoke were actually rather shit and lack quality, Faye can't moan about being sent off, he jumped two footed into Shawky...which actually did us a favour because Shawky is crap and he got injured so Digard eventually came on.
Alves' freekick was immense, no keeper would have saved it. But the first 30 minutes of the second half it was easy to cut through Stoke's defence by stroking it from wing to wing looking for an opening and if Downing had of scored his penalty (god knows why he didn't put it in the corner like usual) Stoke would have collapsed and we would have gone on to get 3/4/5 more imho.
Mike Dean was a dick though, he was clearly scared to show Stoke another red card because the number of times Fuller kicked out at Huth, Hoyte and Pogatetz (when the ball was out of play) was unreal and he could have been easily sent off 5/6 times. They aren't a physical team, just pure dirty.
I have even more belief that Chelsea will win the league now sincw without Ronaldo Man Utd look dire so a 2 horse race is likely to become 1 until Ronaldo is fit again.

Looks like promising times at Man City.
Their new owner has DEEP pockets, it seems. They just broke the British signing fee record by clinching Robimho from Real Madrid for over £32 mil.

Man City are the new Chelsea...
All being said, getting Robinho and not Berbatov will probably work in their favour, stick a holding midfielder in front of Berbatov and he struggles...and how long before he takes another sulk and thinks he is too good for Man Utd? Still won't make a difference, 1Man Utd struggle all over without Ronaldo
I still think Chelsea would have got Robinho if it wasn't for the fact that they started producing Robinho Chelsea shirts before anything had been sorted...so apparently Madrid threw a wobbler XD

I'm a Portsmouth FC fan (liek Casanova), and I also describe myself as a Premier League fan, in which I even get excited when big players move to English football, and consolidating it's place as the best league in any sport EVEr (apart from Hull City).
That said, I was chuffed to see the likes of City (a club who lost 8-1 to Boro last season, remember) succeeding in the capture of Robinho, although slightly jealous. I was jealous when West Ham signed Tevez and Mascherano, but they weren't exactly good news for the Hammers... Man City would do well to avoid the "that club with Robinho" tag.
Pompey remain the big name to my heart when I talk about football. I'm a bit uncomfortable with Harry's desire to make the squad the second England team, but they didn't flop against Everton, certainly. I'm hoping the only English striker partnership in the league won't mirror the national team's awkward strikeforce. England players only seem to do better when they get to pass the ball to a foreigner, ie. at their clubs.
Are there any decent players left in the Spanish La Liga? There's Messi... Uh...

Van Der Vaart has moved to Real, he's a decent midfielder on his day.
It's funny to see how many people are becoming Man City fans now, just because they signed Robinho. I can't see him doing a great deal for them really. Everyone said that when Tottenham signed Edgar Davids, that it'd turn the league on his head. Can anyone remember a game that he played in?
I think that all this money Man City have available now is just going to mean that the Premiership now has a top 5 rather than 4.

Is Robinho even that good? Never seen enough of him to really know if he's worth all the money or not.

I know there was a lot of talk about how he's the next best thing when he still played in Brazil, but I don't think Real Madrid have really played him all that much, which is typical of them.

I remember him being referred to as the 'next Ronaldo' (the older Brazilian one) back in WC '06 Germany.
Can't see him lifting the whole team up on his shoulders though. Man City have to get better players to surround him first. And it doesn't seem like the new Abu Dhabi multi-trillionaire owners are afraid to throw a little dough around. Hell, I've heard they're after Cristiano Ronaldo too and other big names.
But anyways...
