Well I'd imagine a few people here are a bit gutted at yesterdays results, both Liverpool and Arsenal lost.
Feel a bit sorry for Arsenal since they were leading and it took Drogba to yet again to drag them out of what would have been a disaster, if he leaves in the Summer Chelsea would be so screwed.

I wouldn't have minded as much if it wasn't Didier-fucking-Drogba again. But after we scored, we just didn't seem interested at all. A lot of the second half display is a good indicator as to why we've lost top spot over the last few weeks.
Much better is how things are going for Carlisle. We were one of only two teams in the top 10 to win today (the other being Southend). Swansea only managed a draw at home to Bristol Rovers after being 2-0 at half time. Though their second half display was frighteningly good. So we're 5 points behind, with a game in hand next Tuesday and then Swansea themselves at home the week after. If we take those six points, we'll have one foot in the Championship.

God forbid Chelsea win anything this season. They are literally the most boring team on the planet, especially when they have clueless Avram and Drogba/Terry to try and 'sway' the referees decision. What annoys me more though is that Chelsea is 'Mouinho's team' at the moment, he bought all their players yet he gets sacked because he didn't like using Shevchenko etc. but neither is Avram, and he has already thrown one trophy away this season.
As for Man Utd v Liverpool, I had mixed opinions on that result, I wanted Liverpool to win so that Arsenal were still in the race yet I wanted Man Utd to win because, apart from Torres, I hate Liverpool with a passion. Carragher should have given away god knows how many penalties this season but the referee hasn't seen any of the fouls. As for Mascherano, I probably hate him the most out of any player, he is unbelievably dirty (ie, grabbing the jaw of Aliadiere, viciously, and getting away with it. As for him and Benitez yesterday, "He didn't do anything wrong, Babel told me everything" yesssss, and his own team mate is going to grass him up? The only two English words Mascherano knows is "F**k Off" which he said to he referee again and again and again, and in the words of Hansen "He was lucky not to be sent off sooner"

I seriously can't see how anyone can think Mascherano was innocent. He'd been getting at the referee all game. And at a time when disrespect towards referees is in the news, and after he just watched Torres get booked for dissent, he had to be an idiot to go and mouth off like that. I like this rule that states only the captain can go and talk to the ref.

I can't see Chelsea winning the Premiership this year, unless United completely collapse as well as lose at Stamford Bridge then you can't see them catching them up. United are far better quality wise and have more players who can take the pressure at this stage of the season.
The CL they'll have a good chance at reaching the Finals but since the likely opponents would be again Barca or United then they'll need everyone (especially Drogba) to be at their best. I just don't want Liverpool to win it tbh but I admit that I'm a tad biased against them.
Ferdinand has been announced as the team captain for England tomorrow, bit of a surprise it has to be said. Not so much a surprise is that Becks is guaranteed to get his 100th cap tomorrow and is praising Cappelo saying how he's the manager to take them to the top of their potential. Looks like he wants to stay in the good books til the 2010 World Cup.

God forbid Chelsea win the league they are the most boring team in the league. As for Man Utd we tortured them yesterday and though 2-2 was a fair result we could have easily won it by 2 or 3.
As for Ronaldo...well...Downing had him all over yesterday and even when he had the ball Arca and Boateng rattled him.

Who cares about those petty little Premiership 'Big Clubs' when the Mighty Glasgow Ranger made it into the UEFA Cup semis with a 2-0 victory away to Sporting Lisbon? Nobody thats who.
But being serious I was gutted that Arsenal were knocked out, partly because I wanted them to go through not Liverpool and also because apparently Liverpool are awesome now because of it despite the real possiblity of dropping down to 5th in the League again which would be just great.
I would say though that a Man United/Liverpool final would be epic with their past history, this would be the ultimate bragging rights for whoever won that.

I don't like the idea of Manchester United and Liverpool in the final. It would be epic for us to win the Champions League at their expense (especially when they lost it in the final last year, too), but Liverpool always look so unstoppable in Europe at this time of year, don't they? And to be honest, they have a lot more experience in the later rounds than we do recently.
I sound like a terrible United supporter saying I'm afraid of Liverpool, but really.
In other news, I hope we knock Arsenal out of the title race for good on Sunday.

As long as we can take Ronaldo out of the game, there'll be no supply to Rooney and therefore the threat is minimal.
We usually can rise to the occasion against a big team, regardless of the turf. Hopefully the new batch of kids can do the same.

I just generally hate Liverpool (apart from Torres), but I would rather it be a Man Utd v Liverpool in the CL Final purely for entertainment reasons as Chelsea are the most boring team in the league.
However, I think the only way Arsenal will win is IF they stop Ronaldo, otherwise he'll hype himself up and will start running rampant.
