McFadden has only got a good reputation at international level, he's not been particulary poor at Everton but he never broke into the first team and kept his place and they made a £4.5 million profit so it's good business for Everton.
George Burley as new Scotlnad manager is pretty damn sweet, was one of my picks for the job. Hope he can keep the momentum going into the next campaign.

That's it, I give up. I can see where this bloody season is heading. *swears a lot as he exits*

That was absolutely disgusting to see. It wasn't a bad challenge at all, and Taylor isn't to blame for the damage, though he did deserve the red card for a bad timed tackle. It'll be nothing short of a miracle if Eduardo plays again though. =[
If we can hold out for a few more weeks I think we'll be fine, since van Persie will hopefully be back by mid-to-late March. Hopefully.

It was sickening the way his foot went into an 'L' shape, I'm not surprised that Fabregas' turned green (literally), anyway, I think you'll hold out as long as Fabregas is on form...best Centre Mid in the country.

It does look a wee bit bit painful. It's been said that he might be able to make a comeback in 9 months time, be a challenge to prove that he'll ever be the same player again though.
Result of the weekend has to be the Man United/Newcastle game though, something like 3 goals, 13 conceded and no wins in 6 games now for the 2nd Keegan era. Funny stuff.

Apparently the tackle was nowhere near as bad as it looked. It's a double fracture on the leg, and a sprained ankle.
I hope Newcastle stick with Keegan for a bit longer than Allardyce. All it needs is a little time for everyone to get used to the different style of play, and for him to sort out the team to what he wants, which he should be able to do in the summer providing Mike Ashley loosens th epurse strings.

Newcastle are responsible for about a quarter of Man Utd's goal difference this season. Thanks a bunch guys! :(

And that is why the FA Cup is the best knock out competition in football. Barnsley throroughly deserved their win today.

Spare us the cliche phrases please. It is great to see someone different finally win the trophy this year. And all credit to Barnsley today. But the fact is the last 12 years had seen the same four teams win the FA Cup, and pretty much all the finals in that time period (bar Liverpool v West Ham in 2006) have been at best mediocre, at worst godawful (like last years, or Man Utd v Arsenal in 2005). The FA Cup is still unfortunately a pale shadow of its former self in recent years. How often will we see things like Coventry's win in 1987, or Wimbledon in 1988 happen again? I hope this year might change things, but it'll probably be an aberration. And please don't tell me "Tell that to the Barnsley fans" or something similar. Let's just enjoy it while we can, but don't give me this whole 'magic of the cup' nonsense.
