Well now you don't need to worry about how to take him being manager since he's pulled himself out of the running an it's Cappello with the best chance atm of getting the job. Not too sure if a foreign manager never mind one who can't speak a word of English can work Svens reign.

He's the only foreigner I'd be happy with really, even if he can't speak English. There've been plenty of successful managers that couldn't speak the language at first.

Also, Champs League scores for tonight? TV upstairs is busted and I'm too lazy to check myself.

And I don't know much about Cappello except he's a rather successful manager at club level so my say on wether he should get the job or not is null.

Capello will learn English soon enough, but we'll have to wait and see if he even gets the job to start with. His record as a club manager is excellent though.

And Liverpool won 4-0 last night, so they're through.

You could argue that Sven was a great manager at club level too and look where that got him, I would admit though that Capello will be more ruthless with the duds in the squad and will go for results first so it'll be interesting how that'll turn out.

And Liverpool getting through was upsetting.

Sven did fantastically during his time at Lazio, and so far he's doing just as good for Man City. His England failure was probably down to the pressure of the job and high expectations of the public.

I'm not bothered about Liverpool going through myself. I'm hoping for a couple of all-British ties later on to make it more interesting.

It was also perhaps to do with Sven being a notorious womaniser too XD

But yeah, clearly Sven is better in club management. We'll just have to wait and see if Capello can translate his club success (and his track record is excellent on that front) to England. I hope he can, if only to shut up the rabid English tabloids.

As for Arsenal in the next round of the CL, we'll get a very hard team, but what the hell, we may as well play them now and see if we're good enough.

And not forgetting we beat Villareal, Juventus and Real Madrid two seasons ago when they were all damn strong teams. I'm hoping for a big one though, just for a good game.

And Capello has told the FA to hire all of his coaching staff that he's had at Real and so on, so things are looking promising on that front.

Maybe he'll do a good job after all, my expectations are still low though and it's going to take a good run of wins for them to change.

I hope Capello knows what he's in for.

The guy's managed at AC Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid. I think he knows all about insane pressure from fans and the media. Real Madrid sacked him after he won the league after all! So he must have a pretty thick skin by now.
