It doesn't have to be 2/3 teams from every league but at least let the winners of each league get a guaranteed spot since it's a farce to call it the Champions League if it's any other way. And Liverpool and Arsenal can still go into the qualification rounds I suppose and if they can't get through them then they don't deserve to make it at all.

The way he has to change it will have to be planned correctly but how he wishes to change it would benefit football as a whole a make it a more level playing field.
There are more leagues in Europe than just the English, French, Spanish, Italian and German leagues and although the competition from other 'smaller' countries may not be as high a standard it'll make the competition more than just a tournament for the rich and mighty.

I agree with what Platini is proposing as long as it's done correctly, he's a better choice for the post than a pen pusher who's out more for personal gain since he's thinking more of the sport.

I applaud Platini for at least trying to change something. It would be easier to sit back and let the big leagues have their way. He knows they're going to have fits over this, but he's still trying.
Anyway, wow at that fan violence in Italy. It was just a matter of time before everything boiled over and teams started playing behind closed doors.

That thing in Italy will blow over pretty soon and think it has already, FIFA, UEFA and the Italian FA don't have the balls to do anything in the longterm. Look at the corruption thing from last year when they basically reversed or lightened the sentences of every team in it, even Juventus got off lightly. This is the sort of shit that has to sorted out in football.
