Corruption: Impairment of integrity, virtue, or moral principle; depravity, inducement to wrong by improper or unlawful means, a departure from the original or form from what is pure or correct.<o:p></o:p>
Government: Authoritative direction or control, the organization, machinery, institution, or agency through which a political unit exercises authority and performs functions of which is usually classified according to the distribution of power within it.<o:p></o:p>
Survival: The continuation of life and existence, surviving longer than another.

Background: What is most important in this world? Is it living in the pursuit of happiness? Or is it more important to live in the pursuit of dominance and superiority? Corruption, Government, and Survival, are the three key elements in this story. Corruption has occurred in the Government which governs the land, and the only choice for the citizens is to fight for Survival.

Plot: In this slightly futuristic world, the government holds complete and utter power. Cameras and microphones are everywhere throughout the city, recording everything you do, everything you say. Agents, known as ‘The Thought Police,’ carry out the deeds of the government, via these resources. The Thought Police are dispatched to ‘vaporize’ those that oppose the government. Those found guilty of these ‘thought crimes’ against the governing body, are abducted, and taken to ‘Room 101,’ where they are subjected to their worst fears and forced to confess. The likely ending for these poor souls is death. Upon death, the memory of that person is erased from the minds of those that knew them. Your existence is wiped form the books, and the minds, forever.

Survival is the name of the game. Rebellion is the only medium through which to convey this need, and as a result, many resistance groups have formed on the outskirts of the city, hiding and fighting to keep their thoughts sacred. The government and its personnel has to be taken out, at all costs.
Characters:You can choose to be one of three parties:
<o:p></o:p>
Agent: These are the primary workers of the government that carry out it’s dirty deeds. Good guys need not apply. These characters are cold, heartless, and cruel. They are the primary target for Rebels. They answer directly to ‘Big Brother,’ the commanding leader of the Government. His orders are issued to High-Ranking Agents, which then issues these orders to the Agents. Due to the overwhelming amount of Rebels, the need to track them down, and vaporize them, has become paramount. Anyone interested in becoming an Agent, will be starting out as a low-ranking Agent with the ability to read other’s minds, but it’s not always successful. These Agents will also carry weaponry, usually firearms. They usually rely on the surveillance within the city to do their work in tracking down Rebels. Agents that show enough promise, and players with enough aptitude to do so, will be promoted to become high-ranking Agents.<o:p></o:p>
Agent Ranks: There are two types of Agents, the low-ranks, and the Higher-ranks. For story direction purposes, high-ranking Agents will be decided by me. These Agents are the ones that are capable of invading anyone’s mind, are capable of manipulating a person’s body, and can subject them to vivid and realistic hallucinations. These Agents are also highly skilled and trained in combat, and are incredibly fast. These Agents are responsible for issuing orders to the Low-ranking Agents. When chaos occurs, these are the Agents that try to restore order, no matter how much violence and bloodshed must ensue before it can be achieved.<o:p></o:p>

Rebel: These are the brave souls that have had enough of this way of life, and wish to see it drastically changed. The containment of their thoughts is absolutely necessary, and as such, once you become a member of the Resistance, you leave yourself open to becoming the prime target of an Agent. Your goal is to work together with other Rebels, and cause as much damage as possible to the government and it’s structures, without being killed in the process.
Rebel Ranks: There are also two types of Rebels. Rebels, and Rebel Leaders. Rebel Leaders will not be chosen by me, but more so, by the other players in the RP. Rebel Leaders are the real heroes, the risk-takers and life-savers. As a result, it will eventually become evident who is thought of as a Leader of a Resistance group. When these Leaders have been chosen, they must keep in mind that they are in charge of the lives of the Rebels that follow them. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Citizen: These are persons that work in pubs, hospitals, bakeries, markets, etcetera. These are also kids, or people that are unemployed. Anyone who is not a Rebel or an Agent, belongs in this category. Though, as a Citizen, you may later become a member of the Resistance, or apply to become an Agent. This means that teenagers can eventually become Rebels or Agents.
Rules:
If you choose to be an Agent, your character will live and die as an Agent.
If you choose to be a Rebel, your character will live and die as a Rebel.
The only characters that can change sides, are Citizens.
So, this means, that if you have an Agent that wishes to join the Rebel side, they will be killed.
If you have a Rebel that wishes to become an Agent, they will be killed.
The ranks are there for a reason.
All characters are human. Though characters can be skilled in combat, and some characters may have special abilities, obvious magic casting and sorcery is not allowed. I’d like for this RP to remain relatively realistic, given the constraints of the story. Some abilities that are allowed will be: Increased aptitude for healing, empathy, extra-sensory abilities, combat-mastery, weapon-mastery, technological mastery, etcetera.<o:p></o:p>
Effort in posts is an absolute MUST. I don’t necessarily want only experienced players, because I’ve seen many first time RPers that were incredibly good. I only ask for effort, thought, and description to be put into the posts.<o:p></o:p>
Multiple characters are allowed, but font-color differences are needed when playing them, to make it easier to differentiate.<o:p></o:p>
This RP is NOT meant for the light of heart. There will be a lot of violence, language, taboo subjects, and graphic content.<o:p></o:p>

Personality: Seraphim is very eccentric. The process he had to undergo in order to become an Agent of the Thought Police, rendered his sanity as unstable. He changes at the drop of a hat. For the most part, he loves to be dramatic, and performs whenever he can. This is his excuse for his personality changing as often as it does. He uses the excuse ‘it’s just for practice.’ Being the highest-ranking Agent of the Thought Police, he had to undertake many different roles, in disguise, in order to flawlessly rid of his targets. He has a dry sense of humor, but does enjoy a good laugh. In public, Seraphim is seen as a very stoic individual, his lips drawn into a thin, grim line, and his piercing red eyes seen as nothing else but disturbing. Though he may be full of flaws, he is absolutely loyal to the government in which he serves. As a result, he is not one to cross.
Character Quirks: He enjoys painting whenever he is off-duty, and has been known for physically harming other Agents who have picked fun at his hobby.<o:p></o:p>

Backstory: Gabriel Gaze was a well-mannered, shy child who longed to break out of his shell and become an actor. His parents made an honest living working at local factories. Around this time, the government was changing for the worst, and a project was set into motion, headed by a revered man known as Dr. O’Brien. The name of the project was coined ‘Project Seraphim.’ Gabriel had been one of the children selected to become part of the experiment, based on his physical, mental, and intellectual conditions. At the age of ten, he was abducted from his home. His parents, who strongly protested this, were killed in retaliation. <o:p></o:p>
From the age of ten, until the age of 16, Gabriel was forced to undergo rigorous testing, painful experiments, and a form of brain-washing unlike any other. In essence, he was being ‘reprogrammed’ into becoming the perfect ‘Agent’ that the Government could utilize to do it’s bidding. Dozens of the other test subjects were marked as failures, for none of them were able to withstand the testing or the brainwashing. Most of them lost their minds entirely, or didn’t make it through some of the experiments. The sole survivor, and only success in the project, was Gabriel Gaze. And so, Dr. O’Brien saw it fit to give him the name “Seraphim,” in respect to the project.<o:p></o:p>
From then on, Seraphim worked as a loyal Agent to the government, dispatched wherever necessary to ‘vaporize’ those that have committed treason.<o:p></o:p>

Special Abilities: Growing up rich and spoiled, Yukio was able to spend a lot of his time doing whatever it was he wished. It just so happened that he spent a lot of time researching different bits of technology, medicine, weaponry, and chemicals.
Personality: Yukio is what a rich, spoiled heir would be imagined as. Selfish, narcissistic, brutally honest, egocentric, yet surprisingly self-righteous.<o:p></o:p>
Character Quirks: He absolutely despises wrinkles in his clothing, and he hates to have his ‘perfect’ appearance to be smudged in any sort of way.<o:p></o:p>
Reason for Fighting: His sister was abducted for use in ‘Project Seraphim,’ and never returned. His parents were killed before her abduction, in an apparent ‘boating accident.’ Since then, his hatred for the government has been immense, yet he keeps it surprisingly concealed.<o:p></o:p>
Backstory: Tokugawa Yukio was the youngest son of the Tokugawa Family. He had two brothers who he was never very close to, and an older sister who was more of a mother figure to him than his own mother had been. In a ‘boating accident,’ his parents and brothers were killed. His sister and himself were at home when it happened, as punishment for disobeying their parents. Seemed to be more of a blessing than a punishment. They were only children when they lost their family, and so, their servants were the ones to raise and take care of them. Yukio’s sister was taken away from him, when she was 13 years old, for use in ‘Project Seraphim.’ He was distraught for some time after that. <o:p></o:p>
Eventually, he was able to come to terms with what happened, and kept on living the way he was. His servants tried to shape him into a kind, caring individual, but he was too blind to be what they wanted. He became the overly confident, conceited Royal that many knew him as. But, every pretty face hides a secret, and his secret is the most grave of all. Though his pockets run deep, that money happens to find its way into the pockets of those fighting in the Resistance. Because of his Royal status, Yukio cannot actively participate in the Resistance, so, through false names and anonymous bank accounts, he is able to wire money to the Resistance Groups brave enough to contact the entity known as ‘White Wolf.’ <o:p></o:p>

Backstory: Gabriel had an average, everyday upbringing. He made average grades, had average friends, and never became anything too out of the ordinary. He was always rather athletic, and was active in running track, boxing, and swimming. He always wished to become something, or someone special. He hates his boring job as a clerk, and longs to prove himself, show the world that he’s someone worth recognizing. He is easily intrigued by the stories of the Resistance groups, and one day hopes to encounter, and possibly join one. But, because of his Government-tied dream, he can’t shake the underlying fear that perhaps..that isn’t such a smart idea. He’d be at the top of the list to be Vaporized if he ever committed any sort of treason.

Body Build: Broad shoulders and a thin waist make for a V-Shaped torso. Muscles are, though lean, quite refined and visibly athletic in build.

Attire: Dante’s attire is usually a simplistic one. Not one to overdress under most circumstances, he can usually be seen wearing a rather typical sleeveless black shirt, a pair of loose-fitting blue jeans, and a long-sleeved crimson jacket that reaches to just above his knees. On the back of this jacket is, despite Dante’s less-than-enthusiastic views on religion, a black cross of sorts resembling the symbol of the Knights Templar.
Special Abilities: Heightened Cosmic Awareness- This unique mental skill acts as something of a third eye located precisely in the middle of Dante’s mind; in other words, directly between the right and left hemispheres of his brain, or at the very least, that’s where Dante estimates it is. Whether it operates from his subconscious or conscious mind remains to be seen. At times, Dante is able to control and activate it as he pleases, whereas it has been known to operate as a reflexive action when he finds himself in the midst of hostility. Regardless, Dante’s third eye grants him a total of three special capabilities, each of which have proven themselves particularly useful against the Agents.
The first of these abilities is quite straightforward. Dante has shown himself able to use his enhanced awareness to augment his aim as well as his precision in combat, allowing for impressive shots and swift, fluid reactions, especially when under attack at close range. Next is a form of very limited empathy which allows Dante to, with concentration, feel the emotions of another on a most basic level. For example, he would know when someone is experiencing sorrow, but he would have no idea why. Even then, Dante is occasionally wrong, or at least a bit off. He, for example, most frequently mistakes sadness for anger, because, as he puts it, “anger is just sadness with enthusiasm.” The final and most useful of these skills is the ability to actively resist mind control in most any form through sheer force of will. This is, of course, primarily dependant on Dante’s own strength of mind as well as that of the Agent attempting to control him. However, given his particularly impressive drive to maintain his free will, this condition has never proved an issue for him.
Additionally, though not a superhuman or supernatural skill by any means, Dante has studied and effectively mastered the martial art of Jeet Kune Do. As of the present, he has a full seventeen years of experience, having begun his training shortly after his fifth birthday in a small dojo found on the outskirts of his hometown. Despite his rather young age and relative lack of experience compared to some who have been at it for decades, Dante is easily able to compete on the level of most any martial artist in single combat. His weapons of choice are dual Jericho 941’s obtained in Israel, though he’s had at least some degree of training in the art of swordsmanship. Dante’s prodigious talent as a martial artist, incredible marksmanship, and sharp mind easily make Dante one of the most lethal foes you could ever hope to come across. For his fast-paced, often unpredictable fighting style, he has earned himself the nickname “Helter Skelter” among his enemies, which he is quite proud of.
Personality: Dante is, to say the least, a confident young man who, despite extensive training in the fine art of killing, often makes little effort to keep his emotions suppressed on the job. In fact, he tends to be quite expressive regardless of the situation, as it is his personal philosophy that emotions are essentially the only thing that separates a normal human being from a remorseless killer or, in simpler terms, an Agent. This belief in no small part contributes to Dante’s overwhelming confidence itself, primarily because it gradually convinced him that other peoples’ opinions of him are hardly relevant, especially when he’s constantly fighting not only for his own life, but also for the lives of those around him. For this reason, Dante can and usually will voice his opinions rather openly without giving a second thought to the possible repercussions he may suffer because of it. In essence, he tries to lead an easygoing lifestyle whether his life is on the line or he’s simply flirting with a girl he finds himself attracted to.
Even so, he’s not completely without tact, and is typically more than willing to withhold an opinion if he feels it will only serve to hurt someone else. Perhaps because of this considerate method of dealing with people, Dante could be said to have a sort of natural charisma about him that may not effect all people, but certainly prevents him from coming across as insensitive. At heart, he’s actually a very empathetic man who hates nothing more than having to sit on the sidelines and watch others suffer. As such, Dante will typically go out of his way for this in need, and is often willing to throw his own life on the line for those who require protection. Then again, as per Dante’s beliefs, all freedom fighters should be. This is, perhaps, a direct result of Dante’s own empathetic power. Even so, while he’s consoling to those who need it, Dante is known among his comrades for his dry, sardonic wit which he has a habit of employing in the midst of combat as a means of unnerving himself when caught under pressure.
Character Quirks: Dante is a fan of Japanese anime and, as immature as it may sound to other members of the Resistance, quite up-to-date when it comes to pop culture. He’s been known to annoy those he finds unlikable with a near-constant barrage of outdated internet memes. Additionally, he can’t stand most of today’s mainstream music, much preferring such bands as U2, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and Metallica.

Reason for Fighting: Dante fights primarily to avenge the life of his former lover, who was ‘vaporized’ for her acts of rebellion, though even if not for her, he has openly admitted that he still probably would have joined the Resistance eventually, if only due to his desire to protect the innocent.
Back-story: Julia…
Julia Valentine- a spirited young lass of eighteen years. She was orphaned at a young age and met Dante at age fifteen. Miss Valentine quickly won him over with her feminine charm, good looks, and rather…anarchistic beliefs that Dante found most intriguing. However, she was perhaps too anarchistic for her own good, especially given the increasingly conformist world she lived in. With the Government’s gradual corruption, young Julia found herself unable to shake off thoughts of rebellion. Nowadays, Dante is the only person on the face of the planet who remembers her, and even then, it’s only because of his supernatural “third eye” that he was able to remember her beyond vaporization. The poor girl was vaporized approximately three years ago next month, and “Helter Skelter” hasn’t been the same since.
Up until then, you see, Dante had lead a pleasantly normal life. He was an accomplished martial artist with good marks in school and supportive parents. True, he was never one to support the Government, but it was no concern of his during those blissfully ignorant years. After all, they hadn’t done anything to him, so why should he have clouded his mind with such pointless ideas? Dante was simply going about his own business, ignoring all that he heard about rebellions and such, merely trying to exist outside of all the conflict. What more could be said for young Dante? Yes, his powers had been present from a young age, but he’d always made an effort to keep them hidden from everyone…a reasonably simple task, considering they had no effect on his physical appearance. Overall, he was simply making an effort to remain indifferent. Of course, all of that changed when they took his beloved Julia from him…
At first, he didn’t understand why everyone had suddenly forgotten about her. Dante searched furiously for answers but found himself unable to find even one…at first. It wasn’t long before he was approached by a nameless man who, despite never having met Dante in his life, seemed more than willing to give him all the answers he needed. As it turned out, this man was a member of a Resistance whose goal was to take down the Government at all costs. Needless to say, Dante jumped at the chance to avenge his dear Julia. Due to his incredible skill in the field of combat, Dante quickly rose their ranks as something of an Enforcer who would be tasked with their more difficult combat-related missions.

-Desert Eagle
The Desert Eagle is a large caliber gas-operated, semi-automatic pistol. The Desert Eagle is fed with a detachable box magazine. Magazine capacity is 9 rounds in .357 Magnum, 8 rounds in .44 Magnum, and 7 rounds in .50 AE. The Desert Eagle's barrel features polygonal rifling. The pistol is mainly used for sport, target shooting, and hunting.
-Golden Desert Eagle: A more powerful variant of his main Desert Eagle. It has faster shooting and reloading, taking less than 10 seconds to unleash 10 bullets on a target. It has higher ammunition capacity, enhanced from 9 rounds to 15 rounds each magazine.
-Desert Eagle Magazine: each hold rounds for reloading, one with 9 rounds capacity for the normal Desert Eagle, and the other with 15 rounds for the Golden Desert Eagle. It uses .440 magnum caliber made by the Cor-bon Company. In designing the .440, Cor-bon created a lighter recoiling round with as much or greater penetrating power than the .44 Magnum. The round has a flatter trajectory, and leaves the barrel faster than either the .50 AE or the .44 Mag. However, the cartridge has never taken off, and has remains fairly expensive.

<o:p></o:p>Jonathan has a very self centered personality ever since he was betrayed by his late friend Enrico, 4 years ago. It was during one of their missions when they intercepted a well renown drug lord. Apparently, Enrico's loyalty was bought by the drug lord's money, forcing a confrontation between Enrico and Jonathan in an abandoned factory that was scheduled to be demolished. Most of the time, Jonathan is seemed as a quiet, cool, collected individual, always follows orders without questioning and has the cold blood to accomplish the cruelest of missions. No wonder why he ranked up so fast.

Backstory: Jonathan was born in June 23, 1979 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His parents are Greco Saint Marlon, an ex-officer of the US Army and Amelia Richardson York, who is now a retired teacher. Little Jonathan grew up a mid-class life, though he spent most of his time dreaming about becoming a soldier like his father. His father taught him that no matter how sad he felt, a true soldier would never allow his feelings to be so easily reflected on his performance, that a soldier must never allow the heart to blind reasoning, and that a soldier lives to protect. Living up to these teachings, Jonathan worked hard to get the best grades in school, and felt deception and grief each time he seemed to be "failing"at his work. As soon as he graduated from the Lincoln High School (his father insisted that his son had to study in the same school as he did) Jonathan began his carrier as part of the US Army, and participated in numerous missions associated with espionage, tactics and rescue squads. Three years he served as he ranked up through the ranks, was transfered to the Marines and was trained as a weapon specialist, also becoming a renown sharpshooter. 2 years later after that, Jonathan retired from the Marine Corps, his excuse was saying that he wished to add some peace and balance to his life. Yet he couldn't keep himself away from his soldier like life, so he decided to join the New York Police Department. His past as an ex-Marine served him well, since he was boosted through the ranks in about two years. Due to one of his missions in which he tracked a well renown drug lord and uncovered Enrico Hernandez's corruption, he was offered a position in the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).

Backstory: Rill was born to French parents, but raised in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">England</st1:country-region></st1:place> for 5 years. His family began traveling when he was just 6 and he lived in many locations for short periods. As a result, he knows many languages and is very worldly for someone so young. As long as he can remember, he’s been fast. Not a fast runner, just faster than someone else. Other people seemed to move in slow motion to him, it didn’t take long for him to surpass even his father who was a master of martial arts. Nevertheless also as long as he can remember he learned martial arts from his father. He was home schooled and had no friends to speak of; his childhood consisted of boxing, aikido, wushu, kickboxing, and more. When his mother passed away at 15 Rill only wanted to find a lonely place to cry, but his father seemed more charged with energy and positivity than ever. Naturally, Rill’s exhausting training and strange family lifestyle didn’t change. His father passed away when he was 18, and Rill started to understand where his fathers positive attitude came from, even if he couldn’t fully comprehend what a man who had loved did. He opened up a mixed martial arts dojo, where he would pass on what his father had taught him. Despite all his skill and knowledge, he only accepted a very small number of people as his students. Nevertheless, he was well-known and mostly loved due to his habit of helping out people whenever he could. Despite the state of the government, Rill has thus far refused to get involved or to voice his own opinion. He simply wants to stay out of it as long as his conscience will allow him to.

Personality: Shauna can best be described as aloof. Quick to busy herself when approached by strangers, and takes routes directly out of her way to avoid attention, even some of her co-workers treat her like the 'new-girl'. Though outwardly she appears unconcerned with her surroundings, her inner self is begging for someone to help her.
Constantly on the verge of a mental breakdown, she finds herself possitively bursting at the seams to be doing anything but thinking. Her interest in busy work and elusive demenor made her very satisfied as a codeworker for the Government programming department. Her deepest lament is best expressed when she returns home and buries herself in a bottle, or spends time playing her guitar. Afraid, that one day her inner demons well possess her to end her own life.
Character Quirks: Oddly protective of her guitar, though she only plays one song on it.

Backstory: Born into a breaking home, her father and mother soon seperated after she was born. Mom said dad was drinking too much, dad said mom was conspiring against him. The last straw was when the police couriered a message saying dad had gotten involved in a drunken bar-fight that ended in him beating the other guy senseless. He was taken by the Thought Police as he had been quarrelling over a treasonous statement he had made. The other man, being a government employee, threatened to call the officials when dad lost it and nearly killed him.
When Shauna grew old enough to understand what had happened she found she felt no remorse. Her mother was a barista at a coffee shop upstate that served predominatly higher up members of the government. Shauna highly expected that her mother was no more than a prostitute for these elites, but never received any proof of this. Being raised by her mother was enjoyable enough, as her mom employed a heavily relaxed parenting regiment.
Her fondest memory of her childhood was sitting in front of the television, back when it played anything not just government approved programming. After a few channel flipping moments she landed on a channel that showed a guitarist for an unheard of band playing a love ballad. She sat transfixed for the full four minutes of the song. It became the only song Shauna ever learned to play.
School was her responsibility and she performed brilliantly at it. She made few friends but remembered being happy up until high school when she started noticing people disappear. Since then she's forced herself to look at life through a tunnel, hoping the horrible fate of vaporization doesn't befall her.
The scariest moment of her life occured her senior year of high school. She had grown into a beautiful woman and had just received a letter of acceptance into a good job with the Government. Having successfully avoided confrontation with 'Big Brother' all her young life, she held no grudge and planned to take the offer. On her way home that night she was accosted by a group of rebellious teenagers who tried to rape her, she was saved by an agent of the Thought Police.
When she got home her mother was frantic, and she was absolutely livid when she found out what happened. For one of the first times in Shauna's life her mother was screaming at her. She blamed Shauna's timid personality for it and encouraged her to be more confident. She decided to die her hair platinum blonde to gain an extra boost...it hasn't worked.
