That bit about mathematics is completely wrong though. If you think it's all just about memorizing the right answer, then you're not even doing math. They give you challenging questions that require you to think and use your brain. You can have the theorems and ideas memorized all you want; it does nothing unless you understand it and know how to use it. And I'm sure you can get the right answer in a different way and still get some points--there are geometry questions like that on my geometry exam, and as long as you can show your reasoning for how you got your answer, you'll definitely get something.
I wouldn't clump mathematics with all the rest of the science subjects because unlike them, you can still solve a math problem and not have memorized or known any of the theorems. You just need some imagination, some clever ideas, and some "stupid" tricks. It's quite rewarding when you solve a math problem this way rather than having memorized some theorem and used it.
And judging by the question that guy put in there, I think he has no clue how to do mathematics. I don't think he even took a math class before, and is just bullshitting like he would in English class. There's no such thing as a cosine integer.
But then I guess this is why it's a joke, right?
