I remember that my husband's uncle was kinda like the same. All he did was talk, talk, talk, especially things that don't really matter.
So what we usually do is sit there, look at him with one of our elbow resting on a chair's arm, our fingers massaging our temple.
Now, he never exactly got the hint, (or probably chose to ignore it) but it may work with your dad...?
Or you could just sit there and actually converse with him. Can't be that bad. xD

Same.  If I'm ever quiet or just not smiling then they assume that I'm depressed or hiding something. Which is why I never show when I really AM in a bad mood, or talk to them about anything emotion-wise for that matter. Geez, I skipped dessert once and now they think I'm anorexic.  |

i actually had a big fall out with my dad when i was 17, iv seen him all f 4 times since
tis all good really, saves me money on fathersw day

That wouldn't work with my dad. I'm pretty sure not looking at him and posting on here is a much better hint, and he can't even catch onto that. Took him nearly 10 minutes to leave the room.

Would that I could move out, but I can't. I'm dependent on the fucks for my health insurance, and it's nigh impossible to get a job with health insurance unless you have a college degree. So I'm stuck. |
