Just a reminder though, be sure that what you report is actually breaking the rules in one way or another. At least to the best of your knowledge. Please don't report someone just because they disagree with you on an issue. However, as long as you stay cool and calm and just click that report button, a mod will be along eventually to check it out. We'll be able to assess the situation then. And as long as you didn't break the rules yourself, there's no need to worry. Just stay cool and click that button if you think there's a situation that needs attention.
Thanks.

Ok, several members have told me that they didn't know what Global announcements were / never looked at them, so i thought it was important to bring this back as a thread, where you can feel free to ask any questions about reporting posts and what not.
The FF Section in particular desperately needs more people to report posts - me and rydia shift through it a find a lot of spam but we can't find it all and we'd really appreciate your help with it. The only people who seem to report posts in the FF section are Saix and Mystrila - and it would be great if more people could report posts/threads - it helps us deal with them quicker and helps keeps the forums spam-free.
You won't get in trouble for reporting a post if its not deleted, you can't report "too many" posts - infact the more you report the better, and if a certain user is persistantly reported it tells us that we need to keep an eye on them.
I brought this back as a thread to help further awareness about post reporting, and so you can ask any and all questions you have about reporting posts, whats considered to be a reportable post and so on.

No offense, but you're telling me people can't actually see the announcements in a section? I see them everywhere I go -it's not that hard to find them.
For those that don't bother looking, maybe they should? Common sense tells you to do that. I'll see what I can do, but at the moment, I try not to spend (haha) too much time surfing topics - I usually do work while I am online.

I'm saying that i asked a few people and they said they just ignore them to view topics they want to post in. Which i can understand - i thought it would bring peoples attention on this matter if it was in the form of a thread as opposed to a Global announcement.

What's with the sudden drive to get people to report posts? I can understand why the staff want it done, but it really feels like we're having it forced down our throats. You need to accept that people either do or don't report posts.
Personally, I don't report posts because I'm a lazy bastard and on the few occasions that I have reported them, nothing has actually come of it.

Ech, I'm sort of at the other end. I'll always report something if I see it and I think it should be changed in some way, i.e. closed/moved and whatnot. I don't know, maybe that's just me getting withdrawel symptoms xD

Also as an addendum to this: If you report a post and you think no one got to it, we did. It probably was just that you were reporting something that was completely pointless. So please, if you know that you've already reported something, do not continue to spam our e-mails with that post. There's nothing wrong with what you reported.
EDIT: lol Thanks for the report Fields. I was actually referring to Riku though.
Busta Edit: LOL @ the report!

No, it's not a new thing, in fact I think every vBulletin forum has one. It's just that new members and even veteran members sometimes don't notice it tucked into the upper right corner though.

That hard to see eh darling? It's at the top right hand corner of every post sweet. Didn't think anyone could miss it to be honest, but if you are new to forums and stuff..then it could happen.
