great, I'll be able to change my name to Rei (from Breath of Fire 3) once Cerri abandons Ms. Ayanami. THAT would be confusing. this is a nice addition to the sites features

I love the fact that this is back. It was possible for a very brief time quite a while ago. It just emphasises that the person in question really was incompetant in these matters. He claimed it was too difficult to restore. 
I love the new avatar restrictions, too. Many thanks once again, Golbez.

I don't know about smart enough. If you have no idea the profile name feature exists, you'd only find out by happenstance. Most people have never changed their names, so most profiles won't indicate the history feature exists.
