Maybe no one knows you enough to be nominated? xD. I was not nominated either except for me doing it myself.

Firstly; thank you Rhea for following through on what you said you would do. It's good to know the direction we're heading in now.
And if there are any concerns about my feelings and such getting in the way; rest assured that I can easily put it to one side. Often, I let the moment get the better of me and I get very carried away. I'm not proud of it, but we all have our faults.
I wouldn't say keeping middle-men in their place for a limited period is all that great of an idea though. There may be discussion on a subject that is very long running, and if the middle-men are constantly being changed around, it'll only complicate things.
As for nominations, I can't think of any names that haven't already been suggested.

I guess I'll nominate myself?
Ever since the whole drama back in April, I've become quite neutral with it all and just want to get back to where we left off. It's all about what the members want now and so yeah, I'll nominate myself.
After all, we all need someone willing to speak out for the members, right?

If some of the more ignorant staff members agree to comply that this is legitimate a needs to be taken seriously (if indeed this even goes forward), I'd be happy to. Despite lacking activity recently, and strong views regarding one or two members of staff, I can easily push personal views aside and stick to any given matter.
Though considering no-one else is sharing your nomination, it's doubtful anyone else approves of me. xD

If it's still open, I'd like to nominate myself as a middleman, I know a lot of you have me down as a spammer, so I'd like this chance to help out the forum a little bit.
And I second Fields' nomination of Saix.
I also say Derek.

I'd actually consider you the best man for the job. You can clearly talk in a civil manner, but can also argue discussions in the right direction. That kind of attitude gets things done.

I'd not consider you, because you're an unknown member pretty much. Most people haven't seen whether or not you're capable of debating in a calm manner.

That owing to the fact I rarely bother debating, it takes too much posting, but I'd be willing to if it was for the sake of the forum.

That's what the entire staff forum is for, eh? xD

I was thinking more along the lines of a vote. There're a number of names being submitted for this. Given that we trust the majority of you staff members, you could filter out a few names you definitely don't approve of, then give the remaining names to us in a poll, for us to vote in by a set date. Whether or not staff members should be allowed to vote would be to decide between yourselves, I suppose.
