No, you'll never reach infinity.

I think we better try than just sitting! and ya know, trying is more fun.

No, I can prove it's impossible.
Actually, I kind of just did. The fact that we're counting implies that we are using numbers from the set N. But since infinity is not in the set N, it is impossible to reach infinity by using only the numbers from the set N.
It's the same as trying to get 3 from adding 1+1. It's impossible.

DS, you can't beat a mathematician at maths. That's like getting 5 from 2+2 it's impossible.

Then why the hell are you here?...I'll prove that we can reach the infinity and I'll surpass the human beings by becoming the god of the Math myself, but first I have to know something. . . .What is the math?!!!

Feh, my math teacher already IS god. So forget about it.
Countable discrete numbers are, by definition, part of the set N, which is the set of all natural numbers, including 0, 1, 2, 3... etc. But it does not include infinity. In other words, infinity is not countable.
A mathematical proof is more effective when using methods like induction, number theory, set theory, etc. Counting to infinity in order to prove it's possible really does amount to trying to prove the last digit of 7^2008 is 1 by actually calculating 7^2008.
I'm saying you don't need to do that in order to know that.

Is there any lightning is his hand or some boring numbers?

Allow me to tell you the "infinity hotel" theory. Mr. infinity owns a hotel of infinite size with an infinite no. of rooms, all full, and one man/woman, take your pick, wants a room. Rather than sending that person to room infinity + 1, he tells everyone to move into the room tht is their room + 1, so the guy in room 1 moves to room 2, room 2 to room 3, etc, and the new person moves into room 1. And we arrive at the conclusion that infinity + 1 is infinity.
Ditto for an infinite no. of people coming to the hotel and ordering rooms, except that Mr. infinity tells everyone to move into their room no times 2, and every new person moves in to an odd numbered room, thus infinity doubled is still infinity.
See where I'm going?
It is possible to do 5 + 5 = 9, but only with alcohol. No, not drunkenly, you mix alcohol with water, and you end up with less than you started with. amazing.
