What about if each member could obtain a signature weapon?
I think it would be neat that if, after completing a certain given task (that is quite difficult), that the person can earn himself/herself a, one and only, unique to the user, signature weapon with their choice of the name of it.
Does anybody think that could work? I am unsure of how each user's signature weapon could be made in that only that user could get it, but I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to work around if it was worth doing.
If this was done, then I'd want my signature weapon to have the following details.
Name: Death Defender.
Description: Deals Death, and defends against it. Bahamut Fury's signature weapon.
Btw, Bahamut Fury is my RPG name, for any of you who may not already know. As for the stats, whatever you'd consider fair for a user's ultimate weapon, I think the stat boosts should be generous though, because acquiring it should take some time and skill.
Do you guys think this could work out? I've always wanted to have a Death Defender, I made it up myself, I know it's not hard to think up, but it's pretty cool, while this dark blade has superb power, it also defends the wielder by raising Defense.
If user's could get their own signature weapon, what might I have to do to get mine, for example? What would be the kind of things that would be required to do to earn it?
Possibly getting through to the end of the RPG, or is that not tough enough? Right now just progressing through Sapphire Forest 3 seems pretty darn challenging to me (which I'm glad it isn't something you can just blow through like everything else).

In the RPG, you can take 2 items, and craft your own weapon. You just have to have a certain Welding level. That is similar to what you are saying. It is your own sword, and you can choice a name for it and its stats depend on the 2 items you mix together. For example, Monsters drop Mithril and Iron and such, you weld those together to make an item. Each component has its own special attribute. Some are made more for armour, and some for weapons. Thats why you need to scan them.

Well, that does have similarities, but weapons that are crafted aren't the most powerful of weapons, are they?
I understand that if you get the right material, you can make some pretty powerful weapons, but surely there would be room for significant improvement, wouldn't there?
Having posted this before knowing all of this, I could understand why the idea of getting powerful, user unique weapons that are earned, not crafted, would not be done.
But I just thought I'd make the suggestion since I read that they are welcome, though it's alright if this doesn't seem necessary, a substitute for me could be making a weapon out of the very best material and give it the name I want.

Yes, they can be more powerful then the ones you can buy. Later on, enchantments can be added to it so that when you attack something like beserk could haev a chance to be casted on you. Or even possibly cure.

I know you could probably make weapons with a handful of different materials that would make them better than the best weapon you can buy, but the very best weapons are gotten in tournaments, aren't they?
Then any signature weapon might be weak in comparison... <_<
If I may ask, what are some of the other enchantments (assuming that there are others)?

IMO, giving people signature weapons wouldn't really work seeing that you already can make your own weapons with any combination of materials.
Anyways, that can't be done really, this would mean the rpg mods would have to make every single person their own custom weapon and give it to them personally. NPC's don't recognize between different people. So if there is a sword meant for player A at NPC X, player b could get one too because the npc can't distinguish between who is who.
My opinion. If player beat a abnormally difficult area, don't give give them a special sword, give them a special component. Let them decide what to make with it. That way the mods won't be over-loaded with players requests for cutsom weapons

Well, I guess that's best, though I don't really understand how to craft weapons, it looks like it wouldn't be too hard to make a pretty strong one, but I don't know how to actually have the weapon I want to craft to actually be created...
Sorry if some of that was at all confusing, I'm just saying that when I pick how much of what components I want to use to craft an item, then select "Craft", it doesn't create the item, and I still have the same amount of all of my components.

Well you could always buy it from another player. Other players could make you a powerful weapon for a small fee. Or large But Tiel is right, to make that we would have to do so much that the next area wouldnt be open for like a year LOL! When you can just make weapons which is the same.
