Believe me, crafted weapons are ALOT more powerful than ones that you buy in the shops. Especially once you reach the Lv 100 - 200 mark. (If this RPG will reach that far) By that time, you will have enough enchantments to overwhelm shop created ones. Therefore, I see no point in signature weapons.
As for permanently increasing your stats.....no. However, modifiers from shop and event made Weapons and Armour increases your stats when equipped. But if you unequip them, your stats return to their original values. Also, there aren't many Weapons or Armour that actually have modifiers. (Unless the RPG team begin to introduce them more)
I recommend increasing your Welding skill every time you level up now.

I'll probably do that, Welding seems to be one of the most important skills to be at a high level of, allowing to make superior weapons.
And as far as when reaching the Level 100-200 mark goes, I have a feeling we can forget about reaching those marks for a while, unfortunately...
I really hope more areas are added soon, those Cockatrice just aren't good enough for leveling up anymore, I get like 1 or 2 exp per battle now, I'd have to have nearly 100 battles for one level up, more areas with tougher monsters are greatly needed. >_>
Of course a fun and effective way of getting more exp would be if I could find someone that is pretty much equal to me overall, that I could have just one fight with, it'd be a good challenge, and I could really use the level up that would likely come from it.
So there's no way to permanently increase your stats other than by using the attribute points gotten from level ups...well after a while my stats should get up there pretty good, I guess I could really use more STR, but I want balance among most of the stats, I don't want a huge weakness.
Too bad there isn't really any good materials around the available areas to craft equipment even if my Welding skill was higher...

Increasing your exp purposely by fighting against other players is forbidden unfortunately. The Lv 100 - 200 mark does take a long time to get to. But once at that stage, battles become far more interesting; considering you have over 40 spells, around 5-20 attack types and a different arrangement of your base stats.
I don't know if it's possible to increase your stats during an event. Eg: You talk to some random NPC, and you have the choice of increasing either STR or MAG. It could be possible. Ask an RPG mod.

I know increasing exp by fighting others is forbidden, I'm not saying I want to have several fights with someone, from what I gathered, you were allowed, however, to have a match or two with someone.
Anyways, yeah, I might ask about that, I have to wonder if there's another way to permanently increase some of the stats, because the stats of some users seem just slightly higher than they should be able to be from only the attribute points from the amount of level ups they've had.
I certainly have the Gil to pay for such a thing as an NPC increasing one of your stats, I have well over 30,000 Gil, and wouldn't have much trouble getting a decent bit more than that, either.

Far as I know, there is no trigger that raises a stat point or grants them. It might be available through custom triggers, but that might be very messy and time consuming to get it right. Never tried doing it that way because it seems unfair to be able to buy your way to better stats. To me, that is just as bad, if not worse, than powerleveling because it gives you a advantage just because you have money to spend
Earning those stats by fighting to level up is way more fun than buying stats anyways, and you don't get the perks you do in battle if you buy stats (ie: components).

I understand what your all getting at but there is a point in having a special weapon that you make yourself that is a signiture weapon and has powers that are unich to them and by powers unich to them I mean things like the Shell Bulit.
I dont know if you have heard of Kazuma the ShellBulit but when he got his shell Bulit power he had to rip the back bone out of Crystal to get it.
Either way that is his signitur power and it is a bit painful to use but the point is it is the only shell Bulit ever and it attached itself to his arm old power and became a second power.
That is what SSBmaster is talking about that sort of weapon or power.
Id go with a power that allowes me to use any power from any of the final fantasy games in battle.
But failling that Id settle for a pair knife's that have the powers of hast, barrier, cura and beserk on them that increase in power as I do.
But that is only since I am an assasin who will not just stike to one style of combat but will shift to another if the situation calls for it.
But untile such things are in the RPG you can all stop by my shop The Eturnal Amroury.
I sell a tune of weapons and armours that are good for fighting and am planning on adding more and improving what lines I have now when I get to the next area but in the mean time I am planning to add more lines so stop by and brouws and if you want by something.

I know what he's talking about but, it would take far too much time for the RPG mods to do it manually. And RPG inferno does not have the capabilities of creating one yourself.

Yeah, I guess it isn't really worth the trouble, when you can craft your own weapons anyways (which I didn't know about at the time of this thread's creation...).

Crafting is just soo much easier and putting more pressure on the rpg mods just isn't fair to them, who have to work on this game to keep all of us happeh.
I know from experience, it's a bitch to coordinate everyone to get a few places done right and not have any miscommunication.
If ya need help with crafting or anything feel free to ask, i have a pretty good understanding of ow it works
ohh, btw, make sure you get the best crafting tool you can for your level to get their stat boosts added to your weapon. Using all one component isn't always best, but it usually is. If you got extra components, it's fun to experiment, but make SURE you calculate the weight ( weight of component x how many you need for the item) to make sure you can weild the blasted thing after you make it, otheriwse, try changing the item class your making.
Lastly, be sure to click the little magnifying glass next to the component to see what item class it is best suited for ( ie, Iron probably is best suited for making armor, so it's gets a extra boost when used to craft armor).
