a friend and i once agreed that Sonic should use the littleBIGplanet engine with ONLY Sonic and Tails in it, or someone might create a Sonic style level in LBP which would be nice. but yes, Raiden hit the nail on the head, my favourite is Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on the Mega Drive, it has NOT got better since 3-D.

Sega continues to dumbfound me. This video in particular made me rage so hard. Sega actually KNOWS that the fans just want oldschool, fast 2D-like gameplay. I simply can't understand why they purposefully include gameplay that they know fans don't want, they're either complete idiots, or they're so stubborn that they're going to keep forcefeeding us this crap until we like it.

Notice at one point in the vid he says that when Sonic turns into a werehog, he loses his "super powers" (i.e. speed), but gains super strength and the ability to stretch his arms. I think they're trying to turn him into Ristar.

I just don't get it...why do they do this to us? The Sonic Advance series was great, and the Sonic Rush series is pretty good too, what the hell is so hard about just making a really nice 2D game for consoles? I'm starting to think they believe 2D gameplay is only acceptable for handhelds and IF ITS ON CONSOLE IT MUST HAVE GENERIC 3D FIGHTAN OLOLOL! Good god, look at Capcom. They're making a completely oldschool Mega Man 9 to make the fans happy, and they're making the new Street Fighter 2D, just with shiny new graphics...if Capcom can understand simple concepts like "oldschool is good, do what fans like", I don't see why Sega can't
