Most emotional gaming moments
So we have the most emotional Final Fantasy moments thread. Now lets talk about the most emotional moments from any video game.
For me, it's gotta be the end of Secret of Mana. Nothing compares to how cruel that was. Sure you've got Aerith's death in FFVII and Tidus disappearing at the end of X. But Secret of Mana still wins for saddest video game moment for me.
Through out the entire game, the girl is searching for her long lost lover Dyluck. She finally finds out that he's being possessed by the evil what'shisname. So she keeps running into him through out the game until she has one final encounter with him. By then he is to weak to fight off the evil guy's magic but he manages to speak to her one last time and tells her about the enemy and that there is not hope left for him and that she must defeat him. The even more cruel part is that the girl has the light magic which is what the enemy is weak against so you have to use her to defeat him. Then at the end Sprite disappears :(
The music especially gets me at this part. :(

In Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction when Ratchet loses Clank and thinks he will never see him again and also regrets not listening and then Clank suddenly appears then it gets it all emotional and just as they about to hug each other Talwyn appears so they punch each others fist to save themselves from embarrassment.
Sadness, happiness and humour in the space of a minute. A perfect game.

Baten Kaitos, at the end when Xelha died, I was absolutely gutted. Poor Kalas, he was heartbroken! And it just felt awful, they built it up for so long that those two would get together and have a happy ending...and then she dies.
they ruined that by brining her back to life 3 minutes later though, but it was a sad three minutes

I guess it's sorta sad when Zelos dies on Tales of Symphonia...IF you choose to follow the path that leads to his death. It is possible to keep him around for the duration of the game, but at the expense of having Kratos in your party.
Since Kratos is kickass, I always kill off Zelos.
Mod Edit: Let's use spoiler tags please.

Let's remember to use spoiler tags, guys.
I haven't really felt any emotional moments in any other games than Final Fantasy.
But I guess the closest I can come up with is Lunar 2, when Lucia had to return to her own world, leaving Hiro behind. There was a few minutes of "Aww" from me, (especially when the party said their goodbyes) but in the end, they were able to be together anyway due to Hiro wanting to be with her, even if it means going to her own world. (I think that's what happened...)

For me currently the scene in heavenly sword where Roach loses to Nariko and then Bohan call him an 'utter failure, useless etc' and even throughout their battle Bohan is calling him 'a complete waste of air' among other things. And although I couldn't stand Roach, seeing him crying there made me feel kinda sorry for him. Despite all this ridicule though, at the ending point of the game he still rushes to help Bohan when he has his eyes pecked out by the raven.

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne - The Alternate Ending
There is light in a dark tunnel after all…
It was bad enough that Payne had to suffer the loss of his wife, baby daughter and close friend, losing his second love would simply take the piss. Undoubtedly, past ghosts have been laid to rest, but for all the crap that he's been through, I think he deserved better. It definitely felt gratifying seeing them embrace each other after the storm.

Probably Luke and his emo shit from Tales of the Abyss. You hear so much of it 'til you get to the Tower of Rem and he says that he's going to sacrifice his life to neutralize the miasma because he believes his life isn't worth as much as his Original's life.
It was absolutely infuriating. I just wanted to rip all the hair out of his head and beat him with a Bat until he stopped being a faggot. It was so infuriating because it was so insulting to all the other characters in the game, basically telling them that he wasn't important enough to exist just because he's a clone, regardless of the memories he's made while being confined to his manor and the ones he's made so far on their journey.
Honestly, it actually got to the point it made me sad just playing the game. Plus the soundtrack was a real heartstringer, so it added onto the tone of his emo scenes that all led up to the Tower of Rem. D'=
Mod Edit: Spoiler tags, yo.

Believe it or not, it was in Final Fantasy X-2 when Yuna is seeing fragments of the past as she follows a moogle around Luca. She remembers her moments with Tidus... When he taught her to whistle, when they laughed... All those special moments. Made me feel her loneliness.
I think that actually is it. Erm...
