Too Many Summons?
The game has -reportedly- more than 40 summons in it, do you think thats too many? You have to consider that you have to raise and train each summon - for example, theres baby shiva, adult shiva, and another form of Shiva. Are 40 summons too much for the player to master? Or will some outlive their usefullness and never have to be used again after obtaining other summons?

I think the more summons the better myself. Itll give the game more length and more exciting i think. If i play this ill definitly try to get all the summons and i like the idea of raising the summons from a baby to and adult. Anychance theres a teenager Shiva xD

I think that way you can choose a summon that is somewhat usefull to you and train it.

You don't train your monsters, they auto level to what your levels are. You only really train your main characters. Each version of "shiva" is just a separate summon monster that you can unlock. You can summon all three types if you want.

It seems that with every single new Final Fantasy game - spin off or not, Square-Enix tries to do something new somehow or some way.
And there's always a debate or arguement on which way is better or worse and never a settlement on which is better or worse.

You don't train the espers. o,o They level by themselves, without being in battle. My Chocobo got to level 20 when I ditched it at level 12, and I'm just now using it again.

WTF? Over 40? Now that's just ridiculous. Seriously. I suppose they just wanted to please everybody by going over the top.
Oh, any idea on how Ifrit looks? I hope he doesn't look wussy, otherwise that will disappoint me.

*sigh* They aren't summons. You see, when you start a battle each character will get two of their set esper, or more than two depeneding on how many people. The amount of espers doesn't matter, because say you get a Chocobo esper. That's a melee esper. Then say you get an Ixion esper. That's also a melee esper. You won't be using the Chocobo esper anymore because you got Ixion. Get it? And you get auracite from every battle (except 1... or at least I've only done 1 where I didn't get any auracite), and auracite is used in this grid called the Ring of Pacts. There, you forge pacts with the espers, starting from the middle four. (Vaan, Kytes, Filo, Penelo) So as you go on, when you get... say a flying character, Filo's espers are able to be used to the flying characters. 40 isn't much. You won't even use half the espers you get.
