Evolution vs. Creation
I don't know if a thread like this one has ever been posted, so I'm gonna post one now. What I wanna know is do you believe in the evolution of man and other animals, or do you believe that we were created, along with everything else, by a supreme being? Some people believe that a supreme creator made evolutionary beings. Thoughts, comments, and answers are welcome.

I remember a similar thread like this, but I didn't think it had the same focus, but whatever.
I tend to compromise between the two really. Like say we evolved from some common ancestor, but then again, there are gaps in the theory that can only be explained by something not of a scientific nature, and that's where the religion part comes in.
My belief is really complicated, if you can't tell it now..
I'll provide the example I think I brought up in that similar thread. Some parts of evolution, like I said, are unexplainable, such as, the common ancestor, and the belief that there is one is hard to imagine, because whatever it was had to have been descended from something else, which also had to descend from something, and so on and so on.

this is a topic ive actually gave a lot of thought on.
And i can never come to a final conclusion i dont know enough about religion or science to fully understand both sides of the argument.
I think i believe in evolution however i want to believe that a god put us here. Im just unsure.

If I am not mistaken (and I could be wrong on this) scientists have discovered that life can form from nothing at all. Well almost nothing. In a totally sterile environment (that which has nothing living in it) scientists discovered that over time amino acids tend to clump together to form proteins and other cell structures. They believed that this is the way life had formed from the waters of early Earth. And since I am not a believer in a supreme being creating all that we see, this idea makes alot of sense to me. Has anyone ever heard of this or do you think that it is possible?

Guys, we should ignore all these 'facts' and all this 'evidence' that scientists provide in favor of evolution, and instead blindly believe a book of stories written thousands of years ago when people essentially believed they lived in a world of Dungeons and Dragons and 'God' was the GM. Yup...creation alllll the way.

For me, I believe in creation. I mean, I think that life is very endurable, and it has ways to evolve after it was created, and adapt. But if life were created, who created the acids dimmufan pointed out? All of the cells and earth, something hard to start it, and I don't think a miracle like life could just pop up. Cells, organs, skin, the brain... It's all just to complex. There had to be a direction for it, and a bang or boom just doesn't start something this big.
