anyone tryed any of this series? You are a female god in this and u have to find dying souls and recruit em,train em and send em up to heaven to fight for the gods. In a way its like suikoden the way u recruit characters which is always a bonus. Ive beat VP:Lenneth which is for the psp but ive not yet played the The 2nd in the series which is for the ps2. The gameplay is very unique, for battles its turn based but u dont do commands u just press the button you've set for the character and it attacks and u get big combos with that, the specials (limits) are over the top but look really cool. And when moving thourgh dungeons,towns its kinda like hmmm..super mario world u could say. If im not wrong it was out on the snes first then to ps1 but i assume it was a rare find

so your saying you judged a game by playing it for 15 mins? The game does get better as you go along just takes some figuring out

I've played and finished the game. At that time, I was just so desperate for any RPG games I can find, so I picked that up and it was worthwhile, I suppose. It's not that great, but it had some cool features and storyline. I didn't really like exploring in the dungeons, but I did find the whole "recruit and send them off to war" very interesting.

i have recently bought the PSP version and am still yet to complete it, is it worth completeing or is it a game that lets you down at the end ?

Well I didn't really find the game memorable, but it was still good. I advice that you complete the game anyway because you've spent the money, so why not get something out of it? It's really based on opinions whether the game is good or not, so I can't really tell you if it'll be worth it for you. All I know is that I did enjoy some parts of the game, and the ending was just so-so.

Then again, others may not agree and say the complete opposite. So you should just finish the game and find out for yourself.

When u get stronger u attack once with each party member....but it can be 3 attacks in 1..different slashes etc, plus once u attack with everyone u get special attacks which are mighty powerfull (and looks cool)

Aye its worth completeing....its not the best rpg all of time or anything but its defos 1 of the best for psp..depends which ending u get

theres 3 different ones but the 1 i got was nice

I loved this game and still making my way through the seraphic gate. On my third journey through it. Its hard that you don't get stronger than what limits you are set as the monsters are really strong at the end. The only thing i didn't like about it was the time limit. Otherwise it was great!!!

EDIT: Can't wait for Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria to come out!!

I've had this game for a few months but not playing it recently (due to Bioshock/worms open warfare 2) but I really like it. At first I wasn't going to buy it because of the time limit but thought I'd buy it and see if I'd like it. I love the game. The combat system is a little odd at first but I really do like it a lot. From what I know, there's 3 different endings so it has replay value if you want to get the most of it. Not to mention that you get more from playing on hard too (more characters/dungeons). I'm at chapter 5 on normal but will eventually replay on hard just so I can get everyone. Can't wait to buy VP2 when it's released in UK.

Ive got the PS1 version and the PSP verison. Im finding it bobbins to play, may get myself a guide to help me out. Pity the other gamne wont make it to UK shores.

I played this game all the way through and was highly impressed by the addictive gameplay. 9.5 out of 10
The one thing about this game I hated is there ultra-cheap way to win at the end of game, max out a characters guts skill and equip him/her with a revive crystal-Your character has 90% chance of getting revived instantly after a blow no matter how powerful it is. Without this cheap trick the game can and will get insanely hard.
