1) The PS3 does have a HDMI output put I had to buy my HDMI cable seperate (£10 from Argos).
2) I've looked elsewhere and its looks as if you can play the PS3 through the laptop screen, though I don't know how limited the HD will be considering laptop screens aren't that big.
3) High-Definition Multimedia Interface
Hope that could be of some help

The PS3 does not come with the HD cables needed to display your games in high-definition on an HD television; however, the console does have an HDMI output...unless I've been horribly misinformed.
I can't say for sure if your PS3 will play on your laptop via HDMI, but if I had to guess, I'd say yes.
HDMI stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface.

Ahhh, thanks guys, yeah, my laptop does have HDMI input, I don't really care about the HD playing, just want to save money on a T.V, and use my desktop's monitor to good use.
Thanks again for the help
