I don't Rely on them to do everything...but since i am like 15 i obviously still live with them, and my mother tends to buy me the things i want/need...but i can look after myself i can cook my own food, clean, get out of the house and go places without there help - money+public transport = Yus.
so i guess 50/50

lol No, I'm not independent. I have been before but only for short periods of time. I honestly like living on my own more than I do with other people but I'm just too damn lazy to get a job. Other than that, there's only one employer in my particular field around this area... and my father worked there for the first part of his career. I refuse to work there. The only other jobs in this area are jobs I probably shouldn't accept given the jobs I could get.

I consider myself to be independent A LOT. that probably another reason why the name Lone_Wolf suits me so well. I live with my parents obviously because i'm 14 but I'de quite like to live on my own.

lol I find it ironic that only the older people actually realize how dependent they are while the preteens think they're all independent.

I'm...not independent...at all. I wish I was though, but I admit that I'm still learning my ways around. Being dependent could be a bad thing, I believe. You have too much of it and you might be screwed over later down the road when those people/person you're leaning towards to suddenly...disappear from your life, etc. And you'll have to force yourself to learn the things that you wished you learned during the earlier stages of your life.

I'd say 50-50 I suppose. I'm going to take independent generally.
I do still live at home and, since I live in the middle of nowhere, my parents are in charge of transport. However, I like being around the house and often decide on what I do. It's up to me if I do my work, most of the time. If I didn't do it, my parents would probably make me somehow, but I choose to so they don't have that chance.
In terms of school life and friends, I'm independent. I can manage on my own, if necessary. I had to for a few years 'cause I didn't really fit in. I don't get influenced by others or follow the crowd so I was once cast aside an awful lot. I'm my own person. I don't wear make-up just 'cause everyone else does. I don't listen to a certain type of music just 'cause everyone else does. I don't avoid video games just 'cause everyone else I know from around here does.

For the most part, I do. At the moment I share a mortgage with my twin brother and thankfully no longer live at home. I have a nice reliable car to go where I please and whenever I choose... yada, yada...
Sure there are times when I still need my parents help, but it's very far and few between. Anyway, I do enjoy being independent (I hate relying on others) and hope in stays that way.

All in all I consider myself independent. I get my homework done, wake myself up early for school, clean without having to be asked (such as dishes that arent necessarily my job), cook to an extent. I havent had an actual job yet, though I may start one soon if I can get my mom to let me with my grades low at the moment. But I have babysat and volunteered as a server during certain events.
I guess one thing I'm really not dependent on are emotional support stuff. I do need people, even if we dont always talk. Im actually quite quiet and reserved, but I still like having my mom around for support. Most people dont seem to realize how much support I need in that area. >.<
