Best Lightsaber Battle?
In Light of The star wars marathon this weekend XD i had to make this geeky, geeky thread.
I think the Yoda VS Palpatine is the best - the little green freak pwns him, he disarms him and bounce back teh lightning. Making him stronger.

Seriously, stop saying one pwns the other. The only person who gets pwned in the new trilogy is Anakin, when he faces off against Dooku in II. Possibly Obi-Wan too in the same fight.
Anyway, I love the climactic battle between Sidious and Yoda in III. The music just backs it up so well, setting the fight perfectly. Obi-Wan and Anakin vs Dooku in III is also a good fight. This fight sequence has my favourite line:
Anakin: My power has doubled since the last time we met, Count.
Dooku:(the favourite) Good, twice the pride, double the fall."
Great stuff.
However, the fight I mentioned earlier has to be the most impressive. Sidious is just... amazing.

There was too much CGI for that battle wasn't very "real" I liked Obi vs Anakin they did most of their own stunts.

Anakin vs Obi Wan was the best because it was so long and effective. But I also like the Yoda vs Palpatine, although I felt Yoda should have kicked more ass.

I agree with you Faith, the Yoda battles were much too short.
but you know what they say - too much of a good thing =/

Obi-wan vs. Anakin. I think that battle had the most significance of all of them in the series, excepting of course the battle between Luke, Vader, and Palpatine during the Battle of Endor. That was just as significant since Vader finally chooses to atone by finally tossing Palpatine down that shaft at the end. That hails just as much significance I think as his fall and subsequent initial battle with Obi-Wan. But the Anakin vs. Obi-Wan is way more choreographed and less basic. I loved the all the moves and the epic ambiance of the lava world, and Jesus fucking Christ when he burns up at the end. Such a grisly, emotional part. I mean sure, even Vader picking up and throwing Palpatine down the shaft elicited an "Awww shit yeah!" out of me the first time, but watching Anakin burn alive was far more grisly and grimace-inducing.

I went with the very last saber battle in the series. I was a fan of the classic stuff. That Anakin vs. Obi-wan scene was generically cheesy, I thought. NOthing could explain it better than this VG Cats comic... it's exactly how I felt about it before I read it too.

I felt that it should have been longer. Yoda was supposed to be the most powerful Jedi, right? Thought the little green creature would kick more ass.
